A Grist Mill-Part 2

Yes Mike, warm weather has arrived, and you must have been reading my mind…

I was just getting ready to post some pictures of the spillway, and try to dredge up this old thread. Still working on some details, so the mill isn’t placed yet, but it’s getting there.

If you have any questions Mike, don’t be afraid to ask. I’ll PM you my ph. #…

Really nice work, I love that water wheel and chute!

Wow, those stone tiles really look good on the spillway! How many tiles have you used on the whole project?

Thanks for the PM!

Looks great Ken…I need to figure out how to make a Ralph weather vane for it!

I’m on the second set of stone tiles now, Mike. They go a long way.

“I need to figure out how to make a Ralph weather vane for it!”

I think that’s called a ScareCrow…

Ken That looks really great!! I would like to build one myself of a mill we have near where I live. I bought some stuff from Stone Works at the railroad convention last summer here in Ohio. Just haven’t had the time yet to use it… Keep up the good work! Travis

It works…

Now that the hard parts out of the way, on to weathering, signs and extending the flume.

That looks great in position. I sure like that roof and cupola. Everything else, for that matter.

Very nice. Looks awesome Ken!

Well done Ken

Looks great…

Hi Ken,

Sorry I have been missing in action, but I held onto the feedbacks you have been getting, hoping I could get a chance to comment, it hasn’t happened before now, and I really shouldn’t even be here now… I’m working the convention next week, which I noticed you mentioned in another forum.

The Grist Mill looks fantastic! You really did an outstanding job on it (real talent in your hands). What’s your next project?

Take care, Elaine

Great job ken, I like the colors.
