Other than “tiny,” nope.
Wow! Is that the tray you’re bringing? Looking forward to that!!
Don’t forget the shrimp…
Oh, that “conference” room that was at the end of a hallway? That could hold like 8 people? That was interesting…
Yeah, I’m afraid it could be like THAT, but at least it has a bathroom and a refrigerator.
Bathroom and refrigerator, sounds like a stripped out guest room…
Bruce, when shall we say the DnB actually starts? I guess 7pm is the usual, right? But since you’ll have the room from 3pm on, should we say earlier? Thoughts?
Also, Jerry & I went to this GREAT nearby BBQ place last year, and it looks like we’ll go again on Saturday. If anyone wants to join in, please do! Say, noonish at the RHB!
Well, I’ll be there at 3 PM…so ANY TIME after that can be done!
Sounds like 2 cases then…
Question for anyone who has stayed at the Crowne Plaza:

Now LSC goes quiet for a few days while everyone heads for Annapolis . . .
If you have any free time, the Baltimore & Ohio RR Museum is well worth a visit. And if you never saw an Acela at 100 mph, they flash through the BWI airport station occasionally - just check the schedule for one that doesn’t stop.
Fred is the tool dude !
Thanks Rooster. No wonder he looks at me funny when I call him Bill.
Looking forward to seeing some of you tomorrow! And for those who can’t, I’ll post some pics (as I’m sure others will as well).
I sure hope it goes. Right now, it’s NOT looking good at all…
Well, I just got off the phone with the coordinator - and she “mistakenly” sent out the WRONG invoice. It WILL NOT be $8,197 after all.
Holy carp! Maybe they withdrew their $8k BYOB opening fee?
We’re looking good now. I should be there around 3 PM and I’ve got LOTS of stuff to GIVE away!
I’ve printed a couple of signs and I’ll have a collection bucket to help offset the cost of the room. Anything that I collect OVER that cost I will be donating to the Parkinson’s Foundation - local chapter.
Awesome, Bruce!
I spent about 4 hours at the show, and was pleased to see lots of people walking out the door with long boxes. A key sign! There were easily 2x the vendors and space involved.
A bit of background. This is a wing of a strip mall next door to Star Hobby that they were able to appropriate once again, though with more real estate this time. So unlike a big open convention hall, this is relatively long and sometimes narrow.
Here’s a few pics, starting with the Aikenback Live Steamers, of which our own Jerry / Naptowneng is a very active member.
And now for some vendor and indoor layout shots.
Here’s USAT, in their own room.
The entry area:
Nice to see Split Jaw there, with some really nice fold-up bridges.
There were a couple of different young guys who each had their own line of cars. One makes all 3d printed long bulkhead cars (sorry, no pic). The other makes really long container / trainer cars with a base of formed steel sheet.
That’s all for now,
Cliff
