When I first started “Renting” a room at the old (Then) Holiday Inn in York. I requested a “Tub of ice” for us to put our own individual beverages in. No problem. An urn of Coffee might be nice too, if they don’t charge too much.
Generally, you must remember; I was dealing with the hotel by telephone from Ottawa Canada.
The best communication if you can’t stand face to face with the hotel person, is to get on the TELEPHONE, and tell them what you want. Get that contact person…she/he is your ticket to success.

Well, just got off the phone with yet another coordinator. Apparently there are “rules” regarding your own drinks and food - as in “NOT ALLOWED!”

She promised to send me a menu and I will post it as soon as I get it.
(Not sure if these are Maryland rules or Crowne Plaza Rules )

Never had that problem in York. Oh well, rules are rules. Aren’t they supposed to get broken ?

We asked specifically at York, and they said it was fine, and even would provide us with ice…

Well, just got off the phone and things are looking GOOD!

We are moving to a "board"room (Room 420) that has a mini refrigerator AND a bathroom. We CAN bring our own snacks and drinks! Drag & Brag ON.
