2019 Mik's Build Challenge

Well it’s sun-up in Alaska and Hawaii, so Mik 2019 is officially over… Put the brushes and nail gun down and walk away…

What a great year of builds… Something for everyones taste.

Incredible builds and talents.

Time to take the dazzling photos, and post then to the new thread for pics of the builds for voting.

Good job guys…

Dave

Well Vic… Thanks for sending the rain Eastward from SoCal… It got here this morning.

So much for pics of the final build…

This wasn’t suppose to happen till Thursday… ahaaaaa.

We are still listed as " Severe Drought" conditions for the Four Corners area. So we won’t complain too much.

We are in the middle of Snowmagedon. Wind, cold temps, heavy snow fall equals drifts.

Dave: When do we need to get our photos posted?

@ Jim… Before Next Sunday… Sooner is OK

Over on the west side of the Cascades we are currently in the 20" of frozen slush stage. Left Friday and no snow, came home at 22:30 on Sunday, about 10-12", then in 24 hours got about double. Now its all melting in 35 degree rain…

Ours is just starting to get wet. We have a lot also.

LAST DAY TO POST YOUR PHOTOS

OF THE FINAL BUILD!

I will start an “Official” thread for Voting tomorrow.

WELL…It’s almost that time of the year again… About 60 days until the fun starts for MIC’s 2020 build challenge… Time to start hording and stocking up.

Some changes are in the air for the 2020 adventure, should be fun…

Dave

Dave,

Clan Mueller has already discussed the competition, believe it or not! I am hoping to convince a few “secessionists” to enter as a separate entity this year, as the girls in particular have show they have unique skills and artistic talents and proclivities.

Thanks for creating and sustaining something that has become a family tradition here on O’ahu!

Aloha,

Eric

I guess its time to start cleaning the shop and workbench. Looking forward to the Challenge once again.

Maybe if I start cleaning out my shop now, I’ll find my bench before the contest.

The doc gave me an almost all clear!

Sure would be nice to finish another one.

Geez, a drummer who can sing too! I never seen such a thing before, unless maybe you count Ringo.

Hope that is a bit tongue in cheek; if not look up “What I Like About You” by the Romantics for another example.

Urban myth has it that Phil Collins played every instrument on “In the Air Tonight”; the line “If you told me you were drowning, I would not lend a hand” is directed at his newly ex wife.

Another myth is that Paul McCartney played drums on at least 4 occasions while the Beatles were recording the “White” album because Ringo took a leave of absence…

SWEET!!!

Isn’t the drummer from ZZ Top also the lead singer? Maybe I am wrong.
