Okay I’m in, after surveying my materials I will be doing the Silver Fish from Porky’s Railroad. I will be building it on a battery powered drive from a Christmas train set, the same one I built the Wallace and Grommet rocket car on. I have NO idea how I’m going to build the cardstock body but I have built many paper models in the past so I have a good base of experience to fall back on. Napkin sketch to follow on my build page.

You’re in.
Got a napkin for your drawing? We dislike rulers and graph paper as we be inspired by a folk artist extraordinaire.
Welcome
My paper towel drawing ( do paper towels count?)
Welcome abord Scott. Your In… You will need to start a build log for the produce shed.
Go to the first page of the “Build Challenge” And start your own build log like the other victims of this insanity…
I am going to have to enjoy the challenge this year from the sidelines. A greenhouse has gotten in the way!
OK guys... It's official
GO
30 days and $30.00
Haven’t had time to get my drawing posted due to working overtime. So i will sit this one out and spectate this year… Good luck to all and enjoy the fun …
Wow not even an hour in and we’re already two down.

Sorry Vic. I really wanted to participate haven’t missed one of these in some time… I just don’t think I would have the time to get project done… I don’t have a day off from work until next Saturday…
Yunz enjoy your head start. This is Locomotion Weekend at the science center, and my club has its modular layout set up at the science center. I will be down there playing trains most of the weekend.
Have fun David. That sounds like a good time.

When I was doing production work (many at a time) I found doing two was nearly like doing one.
Why doncha build a model of the greenhouse at night after the bigg’un during the day?

Yea, so. We have all had those piles before. We scavenge parts out of those piles for the next try, and/or re title what the pile is so we can claim success.
Devin, it is fun. Especially now that other members have decided that they want to run trains too. It gives me a chance to take a wizz and then go see the other layouts.
SO… at the end of DAY 1, it sure looks like Ol’ John C. is in the lead by a long way, at this rate he’ll be done by Thursday…
Some of us are still looking at our napkins…
So … I gave it some thought… If I can post a drawing of a project will you guys still let me join in on the fun?..
I vote to let you in Travis, I don’t think I ever thought of you as out … just doing some ‘figuring’…
Travis… Oh your in… All I’ve got is a napkin… so you’r not far behind a bunch of us…
