You need to get a large ‘bridge/trestle out’ sign made Tim. lol

Take a look on the ground at the right - there is a brick marked EOT. That was on the track before the mishap!

Terrific piece of yard art Tim !!

reminded me right a way of that famous european (france ?) shot of the train out the back wall down to street level … have a framed print in the rwy rm. (acquired from my fave thrift store a couple yrs back).

“…on the ground at the right - there is a brick marked EOT. That was on the track before the mishap!..”

don’t know why but, LOL !

Then you can recreate this picture…

Yikes! I wonder what the story was there?

Added an engineer and fireman leaping from the doomed Soggy Bottom Express:

The fireman managed to catch the top of the trestle but the engineer has taken that first step, and it’s a doozy!

Now I need some running figures to put on top of the passenger car. Have not had any luck so far in finding them.

Very neat idea Tim… where’s the tracks? lol

Noel,

No track for a frozen train! Don’t have any to spare for yard art. Some old Bachmann stuff but it would rust out in no time.

TJ

Nice touch. A good use for the Bachmann figure.

Yes, I have a couple of Bachmann figures but that was only one I could pose (with the help of some wire) in a manner that fit the need.

Really want to find some running figures to put on top of the passenger car.

How about a couple old cowboy action figures?

TJ-

Maybe some of these might work?

dieseldude, them figures just keep showing up in threads from time to time. I just may have to get some.

Dieseldude,

I like them, but 80-100 bucks for my purpose is too much. Thanks for the suggestion though.

J.D.,

Yeah some old cowboy action figures might do the trick. Have to see what I can find.

TJ Lee

TJ-I bought the same set of figures a while ago and only paid a couple of bucks for them. I bet you could find them much cheaper… 80 - 100 bucks is highway robbery!!!

-Kevin.

I found this on Evil Bay for $24.95 plus shipping. Still more than its worth, but less than $80.00. The next listing for the same thing was for $105.00. Go figure.

Still, for a set of 9 figures, its a lot less than $3.00 per figure.

Kevin, Steve,

I found the figures at Archie McFee for $15.90 shipped. We’ll see how they work out.

TJ, if this is what you found at Archee McFee’s, you might be better off going with the 9 figure one that I found, yesterday. Archie only has a 4 figure set. The 9 figure set is a better deal. But, it is your call.

Steve,

Gad! You are correct, McFee only has the 4 figure set. I’ll keep looking.

Even with the engineer and fireman jumping from the engine the impending wreck of the Soggy Bottom Express still needed some more visual action. Having tabled additional figures for the time being I thought the engine would have surely crashed through some sort of barricade before launching out into the gorge.

Here’s what I came up with this morning…

The engineer should have paid heed to the sign!

As always, comments and suggestions are welcome.

Best,

TJ Lee

That’s what you needed! Good work.
