What car would you buy with $100,000

Now someone gave you 100,000 and YOU MUST BUY ONLY ONE CAR!

This spending cap leaves out the high end Italian jobs, obviously!
The car doesn’t have to be new. You could take your hundred grand to Barrett/Jackson auction if you want.

I can’t decide between a new Dodge Viper or the new Corvette.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

The Corvette!

I’m a GM man, but the Viper would be tempting. The Dodge SRT-10 Truck with the Viper motor would be another thought.

I’d have trouble getting that one past my wife. At least the SRT-10 has a seat for her. Ralph

$100K…Very hard…very hard indeed

…I just might still find one for just under $100K

I have always been sweet on the S type -

Lot’s of car questions lately!

2009 Corvette ZR1, just under 100K.

600+ ponies. Home on the track and dependable enough to be a daily driver.

These are so rare I might not be able to get one for under $100,000 but if I could I would.

Pic from Wikipedia. Then one I had 45 years ago was grey.

1957 Jaguar XK-140 MC, drophead or roadster. I am putting in links.

Tony what model Citroen is that?

It looks like a Traction Avant but I thought those were still pretty plentiful, have they gone that much up in price?

I’d just buy a new truck, smaller cab, but one that could pull my trailer and tractor…

There yuh Go!
They put one up against a Viper on Speedvision recently.
Viper faster outa the hole, but the Vette out handled the snake in the curves.

They both are better eye candy than any nekid female celebrity…

Nope!

Yuh gotta spend as much of the 100K as you can.

Yuh don’t get to keep the change!!!

I’d buy a honest-to-goodness caboose of my own. Any CN/CPR/ONR/GTW/GN/SP&S caboose would do just fine.

I’d move it to a siding I know, just off the mainline.

Then I’d live in it.

Afraid not. Sold by Stanley Mann Racing The worlds leading Vintage Bentley Specialist - a 1923 Le Mans Bentley VDP, Registration Number: XP 7926 Chassis Number: 376 Engine Number: 378 Price: £215,000 tac Hey, how the hell did I manage to do THAT? I actually posted a picture!!! Whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I wouldn’t buy a car at all…I’d put the money in the bank, and draw it out as I needed it, to pay for transportation by Train, Taxi, and new shoes for walking. I would also use public transit if time was of no problem.

I probably would save enough on insurance, service, fuel, and safety, that the money in the bank would seldom be touched…in any case I’d probably earn enough interest, that money wouldn’t be an issue.

Fr Fred, your eminence,
You HAVE to buy the car or you don’t get the 100 grand.
There’s no rules that says you can’t sell the car later and then do all that un-manly stuff.

Hi Victor.

That is a 6 cylinder version of the Traction Avant.
They were made in the UK in quite limited quantities.
Hard to tell apart at a glance.

I was wrong when I said the one I had was grey.
Actually mine was black and the one my dad had was grey.
I kept mine for a few years before I got a Mini Cooper.
My dad sold his to get a newfangled Ford Falcon station wagon.
