Bob is aware of the phone issues. Seems we are all having that trouble

One suggestion I have. Is there some way to get this "Forums Website Website " added to the bottom under all the replies. Saves some scrolling all the way back to the top, and if someone else has already mentioned this, consider this one another reminder…

Ah, one more thing. How do you get this "
Send me notifications when other members reply to this topic"

To stay unchecked. I have unchecked every single box in the setting menu and unchecked this box every time I get another “Update”. to no avail. Not a big deal, just annoying.

Bob, the “Last Post” feature is gone on my screen. Probably not really important in the big scheme of things, but you can put it on your “gripe list” for future fixin’

In the Topic "

General Discussion (http://www.largescalecentral.com/application/modules/Ynforum/externals/images/newest-posts.png)5,635 topics

88,216 posts

Train related talk that doesn’t fit in another forum." on the far right hand side next to the last poster’s name there’s an arrow, Clicking on that takes you to the last post.

Slowly finding my way around this new stuff…

Yes I would like the default setting on the “Send me notifications when other members reply to this topic” as unchecked also. And if I may be so bold, would it be possible to add a page link area at the top of the forum pages along with at the bottom. I know picky, picky, picky. I can live without it if need be

I don’t remember if this was present before the upgrade, but it would be helpful to have the page navigation (<< First << Previous 1 2 Next >> Last >>) at the top of the page (in addition to the bottom as it currently is).

No so much a problem, more like a feature request.

Not sure if this is classified as an error, but I have noticed on Firefox (35.0.1) that the tabs list the threads as

“Large Scale Central- Advanced Forum Topic Detail- (Thread title)” When opening various tabs to read the unread threads it can get a bit confusing as to quickly see what thread is on what tab. All you see is "Large Scale Central- Adva…"until you move the mouse over the tab and it highlights the full title.

I’m not exactly sure what the old tabs were fully titled, but you could read the title of the thread, so it made looking for and at various threads a bit faster and easier.

Main page takes a really long time to load for me. Minutes. Not sure why. Once I’m on site it’s ok.

Bob, on this build thread I noted the first 5 or 6 post looked normal. But then the persons post started coming in below everything else.

Something about his borked image was messing with the formatting, so I deleted it.

My initial findings with the upgrade were favourable, as I noted in an earlier post. However, all LSC pages are very slow to load - no other web sites are - I had presumed things would improve but so far they have not. I have not seen this aspect mentioned by anyone else so far.

Alan, I ran into that running SeaMonkey browser. In chat last nite Bob loaded a brand new install of SeaMonkey and had the same results. Let Bob know which browser and OS, I am sure he will investigate.

My principal browser is Opera 27 and is up to date. It is the fastest browser I use. Chrome (Google) is slower and I use IE11 as a brower - just for anything Microsoft or the news and MSN. I have used Firefox many times but not at present - it gets issues with plug-ins from time to time so I uninstalled it.

The pc is a desktop running Windows 8.1. A German machine which came without any programmes installed which allowed me to install the programmes that I wanted rather than the bloatware so often included in new pcs. I will try LSC on my VAIO Windows 7 laptop later.

Since posting this I installed Firefox on this pc. Just the same as the other browsers. I also tied W7 laptop - no difference.

Someone suggests staying logged in. The only problem there is I clear all cookies on nightly close down. However, it is not the end of the world and I guess as patience has always been one of my few virtuesWink I can accept the status quo.

Bob,

I was ‘over there’ and caught a comment by our Kormsen;

"seems, that they got some technical problems still.
with firefox i can read the forums, but can’t log in.
wit IE8 i can log in, but can’t read any forum. "

I hope you can help him.

John

OK, here’s a weird one! When I move the current bookmark to the top of the bookmark list, it won’t “stick” there and keeps reverting to the bottom. This is with Google Chrome. Weird.

Bob, two more ‘observations’. If it is in my browser I can’t find a setting for it, but I can check the ‘Remember Me’ box on log in, but next time I log in I still have to User and PW. Second, where did all the stats go that used to reside below the advertising on the left side of the home page. I see it when logged in, but that space is blank when not logged in. I liked the ability to see the stats without logging in.

The new look on my old Mac (OS 10.4) and Safari is very poor. Not much contrast between the letters and the background, type too small. Also, I get no graphics on the front page. Is that just a function of my old system?

Joe Zullo said:

Does anyone but me find the contrast too light and hard to read? Is there a way for the user to change it?

Dick,

I reported the very same problem in the above post…So far no fix.

I tried using the Share button, but it did not post the comment like it says. Undecided
