Wayne's Mik 2024 Oil Derrick

@capecodtodd
That light activated JB weld looks futuristic. How does it hold up long term outdoors?

I really do not know. This is the first time I have used this glue. I was going to use 2 part epoxy. Recommend by a work buddy, I can tell you this was way quicker than if I had to mix up lots of small batches of the epoxy.

I did get most of the boiler completed. I did not have anything to use as a flywheel for the steam engine model so these two accessories for the oil derrick are not completed. The cheapest model flywheel I could buy was $35.00. Not really what I wanted either.

Here is the boiler, needs the support made to complete it.

Wayne I was all aboard for your build. A month later and it hasn’t produced a drop of bourbon. Color me disappointed. When (if) I ever make my working charred oak cask car I will bring your dry hole some bourbon. Lol

Nice work. That’s an impressively tall structure. I hope you keep at it.

Which Travis are you referring to Wayne?

You sir! Back in post number 10 @Rooster called dibs on the Tostito’s then @Dave_Taylor he was coming from New Mexico with the Salsa. In post number 13 you agreed Bourbon was correct.

I used the reply button in your post thinking it would highlight your name but it did not. Then Dave bailed because of a little snow, Rooster my son finished the Tostito’s. Here I am drinking the Scotch, saving the Bourbon for our visit… :grin:

Edit: again I quoted you post, but @General1861 the quote did not add on.

Test. Okay I figured this out. If I quote the previous post, it does not add it. Should add this quote?

That pisses me off cause I called dibs !

You snooze you loose. Still have some Bourbon…
