Large Scale Central

Watermill/Woodprocessing Factory

I am building a watermill / woodprocessing factory, it is a large structure designed to be on a sloping grounds sloping down to a river. This building is constructed of sheet metal, The waterwheel is made of steel, 10’’ diameter and 5 ‘’ wide. It turns very easily being it is supported on two pillow block bearings. It weighs 13.5 pounds which will allow it to turn very slowly which will look very prototypical. The structure has 13 different roof lines and leveles to represent many different add-ons,

This structure will represent a wood processing factory, have not decided on what type yet.

The water tank on top of structure

This picture shows the waterwheel plus I have started covering the walls with magic sculpt

Close-up of the wheel will show the rivet plates

Thanks Dennis

Show off!!

Very very nice, really!

All I can say is, WOW!

Dang, no small potatoes here!

Impressive, thank you for sharing. That first picture you posted in the “Test Forum” was certainly a tease.

An amazing model Dennis which will, I am sure, enhance your railroad.

Fantastic Job…

Oh yeah, so impressed with the pictures, I forgot my manners - Welcome Aboard.

Welcome aboard! The mill looks great so far!

Only thing that looks “off” to me is the water tank, which seems a tad skinny. But maybe that’s just me.

Nice work Dennis.

Adding new pics been working on the mill, got all the roofing on, water tank done, stairs added and hand railing for the up stair office. steps ladder and railing for the water tank.

Amazing work!!! Wow!

Agreed, Awsome job.

Detail is off the hook, I wish some day to have the time to model like that.

Once again great work.

Looks great! Is the roof done with Magic Sculpt ? And if so how did you get the layered look ?
