Vinnie's Box Cab Build

So thanks to Ric Golding, I have lost more parts from my scrap bin so my 8 year old son Vinnie

could build a box cab. He started with an Aristo-Craft track cleaning body and chassis and a FA motor block.

Below is the modified chassis, Vinnie cut the hole out himself with a Dremel.

2 pieces of 1/8" Styrene will act as the motor block mount.

More to come!!!

Cool! Go Vinnie!

Ric gets blamed for a lot of things.

Hope to see that running on the Timesaver next year…

o boy…if my 8 & 10 y/o boys see this…

Way to go, Vinnie… ^5

I agree, it’s all Ric’s fault…

That’s great… Keep it up, Vinnie…

Cool!

Remember there are NO RULES on boxcabs cause Ric and Ken say so!

Did Ric shove you and make you fall again Dad?

Wait till gets into live steam, then you can thanks me lol… I blame Ric and Jon for my Shay purchase.

Looking great Vinnie! And Ric is to blame for everything! He is the reason for my boxcab, and most of my other pieces before that lol

Actually, he did… Last Ops session…

Vinnie

Boxcabs are incredibly versatile and the rules are endless. Build it “your way” because Mr Golding and Mr Brunt told me “Back in the Day” that there are NO RULES when building boxcabs! I will look forward to progress pictures!!

Good Luck young man!

BTW…I owe you for making Mr Golding (Ric) clean the “Timesaver” track and stop blaming my equipment!

Awesome, Vinnie! Can’t wait to see more.

-Kevin.

Vinnie,

We need a report on the progress you’ve made. Please don’t blame your Dad if there is a vital part you need. There are lots of inventory boxes associated with this site. Please tell us your plans.

Yes Vinnie you are welcome to my inventory if you need something (like a blower scoop, cherry bombs or a wing)

Cool.
I hope we see it running on the Timesaver next Spring.

So Vincent wanted to add Marker lights and front and rear pilot trucks. Blame me for taking so long to add pictures.

Here is the mounted pilot,

We have tested it and all is running fine, next we are on to lights.

Ah Ha… Looking good, Vinnie…
