Update on Kristi

Kristi and I would like to thank you all for the prayers

Doctors are pretty sure that they know what is causing the blood clots. She is scheduled for the 1st of several surgeries on Thursday (if everything else is OK) to take out all the abdomenal mesh. The Dr will install a temporary mesh and leave the wound open for a week or so. When he feels that everything is good on the inside. he will put the permanent mesh in and sew her up. Then when the infection is for sure gone she will have vascular surgery to repair all the damaged veins, if needed. The doctors are hopeful that the clots will dissolve on their own with the blood thinners that she is on. They did an ultrasound again today to determine the status of the clots in her chest. No results on that yet.

Our prayers and blessings are with you guys.

I hope all is going well Rodney. Hope to see both of you at Marty’s.

Kristi is doing very well. The surgery went better than expected and she is already up walking. We hope to get to go home by next weekend. It looks like she will need a least one more surgery after the infection is gone.

Thanks for your prayers and thoughts.

Jerry, we are planning on being there

Great to hear!

Rodney, great news…

Great news! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Just wanted to say thanks for all the prayers and thoughts.
Kristi was released last Saturday morning from Mayo and we arrived home that evening. Tuesday she was having pain in the lower right side of her stomach and early Wednesday morning I took back to KU Med. They found she was bleeding internally and was placed in the ICU unit. The last 3 sonograms shows that it has stopped bleeding and should get to come back home by Monday or Tuesday we hope. This is one of the byproducts of being on blood thinners and will have to be watched closely.

I will try to catch up on everything and start getting recuperated over the next few days. Kristi’s mom is going to stay with her tonight so I can get some much needed sleep.

Thanks
Rodney
