I think UP is incorrect in naming arrival in Canyon, CA at 10:30am PT. I had never heard of Canyon, CA. Looked it up and sure enough there is a Canyon, CA near Berkeley. I then assume they are talking about Cajon. The lighting that time of day should be perfect for photos of 4014 going through the “Pass”. Blue Cut would be a perfect rail fan site. You’re going right?
I wondered about Canyon too when I read that. I figure that we’ll be at Sullivan’s Curve if there’s a place to park!
Doug, that’s basically that siding just south of SR138.
We probably will beef up our patrols just in case the foamers decide overrun the pass.
The last time 844 rolled through, (I believe it was a Sat AM) there were folks driving all over the place regardless if it was a designated route or not.
Did anyone get to see 4014? We waited three hours but no luck.

Doug, I am debating on whether to take the day off and chase it for a bit, or go out on duty and just watch go up the pass.
It’s going to be interesting how hot it is by the 28th. It was near 90 today!
Anyone have pointers on best place to view in the Lytle Creek/Lost Lake area? I ride there all the time but don’t know which track is UP. And hope it stops like the say close to 138/Lone Pine.

My wife shot some nice footage of it leaving Canyon (I think they mean Cajon) but she shot it on the iPad. Any thoughts on downloading it? I couldn’t even find a way to put it in iMovie!
