TrainOps 2018

Thanks guys. Its been a tough spring here at Chez McCown, but it is what it is…

Getting back to TrainOps, its looking like drizzly rain here Saturday. I’m working on a secondary plan, by creating a separate ops flow to keep the wood cars out of the weather. If it looks like rain, Ill use that one.

The weather on Sunday should be fine. The current plan is to start operations at 10 AM or so. We will be open starting at 9.

See you Sunday

I’m looking forward to rejoining old friends and meeting new ones. Noelle and I plan to leave early tomorrow, Thu., via Buffalo to arrive Boston Friday. Will return to Toronto next week via Cape Cod, Vermont and Ottawa.

So sorry about your doggies, Bob. I’d have loved to meet Piper! Love out to all dogs in Heaven.

Al, I/we won’t be making the trip up to your place, however the the pictures of your rebuild looked great…

Bob, sorry to hear about the puppies… My condolences…

Will be there at Bob’s Friday afternoon and Sat, and Stan and Deb’s on Sunday…

Joe, I was born and raised just north of Boston, so this is still home to me… My Mom and sis and nieces still live here… It’s my time to visit and work on my seafood addiction…

Martha and I are hoping to get a peek at your rig this weekend sometime. I’m a handful or years from retiring, an RV is in our future plans, and the Super Class C‘s look more interesting than a Class A.

That rig is pretty freaking sweet ! I was kinda impressed with all the storage and thought out usable space. Ric is probably a handful of years from being unable to actually operate a vehicle so perhaps you might get a deal?

Things fell into place and we will be making the trek up tomorrow morning. Going by Al’s first, then to Littleton for cocktails. We ended up booking a room in South Nashua, NH on Rt. 3. Finding a pet friendly place is not easy. We were in Leominster last year, but the place was a bit dicey. This one looks better. and in a better location. Looks to be about the same travel time.

Counting on your pics Jon !

I think that puts him 5th in line. Jan says she’ll find a campground close to where I get planted for a day or two, if the price is right. Then our son just thinks he’ll start driving us to campgrounds and rodeos and then just forget to pick us up. Son in Law has been measuring off a space in his driveway. Grandson thinks it can be his dorm at college and the granddaughters wants to know about his rights because he’s a boy. A young guy I worked with got our old couch and dining room set, so he figures this will follow. So okay, we can add Martha and Will to the list. Bob stay healthy.

Noelle and I are booked in at the Marriott in Keene, NH. Nice hotel by the way.

We drove past Al’s place in Winchester this aft so we know our way. Really looking forward to seeing you guys in the morning!

Al, and other hosts: In the trunk I’m packing a ten-by-ten foot fabric gazebo if that’ll help any of you.

Cheers!

Anybody here from Boston know of “the Del Fuegos”? (Miller beer commercial fame). I spent some time with them.

I’ll see yous guys around 2 @ Bobs…

I’ll be down early afternoon.
