I wish that I could attend, as well. Have fun, all y’all. Take lots of pics.
The last of the switch replacements and throws went in this morning. Ballast will be purchased tonight and spread where needed. Four track bumpers to install, and then industry names to think of for the new area at Oakhill. Need to set them up in JMRI, too.
Can’t wait… Got to Peabody Sun night… Forgot how enjoyable stop & go traffic was on the Mass pike…
So glad Bob made it warm, so we’d feel like we are at home… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-sealed.gif)
Getting ready for TrainOps15, I am in need of an address for Al’s on Friday. Could somebody private email me this, since Mr. Radder won’t be around to guide me.
Also Bob, do we have a schedule of events for the entire weekend? I guess starting times more than anything else.
Got a prompt response on Al’s address from Don Howard. Thank you Don.
Schedule is pretty loose, but Friday any time after noon for run-what-you-brung. Dinner Friday whenever people get hungry. Saturday ops start at 10, show up any time after 9. Dinner Sat about 6
Sunday show up time is any time after 9am, Ops starts at 10, Lunch sometime middle of day and ops end when we get tired.
Stan
Despite the heat I got down about 500# of ballast today. Ran a test train down the branch to Oakhill and knocked some cars around to look for track issues. None showed up. Tomorrow is more ballast and some last minute tweaks.
Hope you have good weather scheduled!
Started loading up the car…and almost forgot a couple of locomotives…
You guys have fun and take lots of pictures. And be sure to screw down all the end-of-track bumpers before Ken gets there. I hope to be operating a little at Kevin Strong’s on Monday. We’ll raise a glass to you guys!

My neighbor just got back from Peebedy and said it was pretty nice weather-wise. Hopefully it stays that way.
Its been in the low 90s and high humidity all week. Starting Friday its supposed to be only in the low 80s. Chance of scattered showers, but if theyre like the ones we’ve had this week, they dont amount to much.
Keeping a weather eye out. Current forecast says we might get a bit damp but not a washout.
I’ll bring my poncho…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Should keep the dust down!
IF temps in the 90’s, and a 70 degree dew point is nice weather in Peabody, then it’s been nice… To me, it’s been a little warm and humid… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

That was a quote from last week…this week seems to be different…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
Looks like it may be a little damp here at times tomorrow, however the good news is that most of the switching locations are indoors. come on down
Al P.
Plan on being there, Al… 5 of us… Probably between 9:30 & 10 am…
Glad to see Al’s group is growing. Ric and I had a blast there last year. So much so, the girls were a little PO’d when we were quite late getting back to Littleton (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif)You newbies will enjoy it I’m sure. Sorry I’'ll be missing it this year.
