Kimball's Ice Cream, 400 Littleton Road (Rt. 110), Westford MA (has some really good seafood and LOTS OF ICE CREAM!) picnic tables outdoor seating. good place for a larger group to go.
Was that the place with the hundreds of walk up windows and lines of people out to the street?

Ice cream and seafood…it don’t get ant better then that!..

That’s the place. Just make sure you understand what kind of shake/frappe/whatever you order!

We probably could go there one of the nights as a big group, since its sit-wherever, and they have a huge tent of tables…

Sounds like a plan…

Shhhh ... don't tell him it goes great with fried chicken ...

I guess I’m as ready as I can be. Weather looks like we may get some sprinkles Saturday AM, but other than that, the weekend looks good.

We’ll be stretching operations a bit, I think, but we’ll see. I’m pondering doing outbound/setup trains in the morning just for a bit more variety. Put all the cars at Burke/Franklin Falls, and let people run trains out onto the layout to set up the session. Might be fun.

Franklin Falls doesnt have a turntable, so we’ll have to take the cutoff to Burke to use theirs. More fun!

See everyone tomorrow/Saturday

I image the fun has begun. I’m out the door about 6AM tomorrow. Expect with a few stops I should be there in time for coffee and the morning crew meeting. I’ll try and convince Marilyn to come, but not likely.

Would you swing by and pick me and Marconi up please!

If your serious, I’ll leave now. Be there about 11 - then turn around and make the trip Norrth. Gonna need some help with gas money though. We’re at $4.17 today in CT.

Gas money??? Jon that equals about 1.10 per liter. We are paying 1.31.99 right now per liter. Go figure and Canada is full of oil reserves.

After the last operating session we decided to cut in a new section of the railroad. At 7:30 tonight the first train made it over Devils Gate Viaduct. Just in time for Sundays operations Stan

I guess the camera was broke… :stuck_out_tongue:

I just got home a few minutes ago. Most of the gang was heading out to supper after an effective four sessions (setup placement and three actual runs) All went well and I know I had a good time. Kuduos to Bob and Matha for hosting and feeding the gang lunch. Looking forward to next year. Enjoyed meeting a lot of folks from the board in person. Most of the folks will migrate over to Stans tommorrow.

We want pictures!

Sorry Roos. I waited outside your house for 40 minutes,- everything was dark so I assumed you forgot.

I brought the camera but it never made it out of the car. Ken took some, but can’t post until he gets home. There are a few surprises - so stay tuned !

The updated layout is lot of fun to operate. I teamed up with Al and we ran two each direction. The first being an experimental set-out train to put cars out on the layout for the actual sessions. Figuring out what cars to take where was a bit of brain work using a cars by location report, but we got it done without damaging too many brain cells.

Running two trains in each direction per session provided lots of traffic. Several times Al and I had enough time while waiting for clear track to go get a snack or a beer

From the comments I heard, and my own experience; a good time was had by all

Most of the folks are over at Stan’s for a session this morning. I drove home last night.
