Track realignment at Burke (and beyond)

So where’s the 3-way turnout???

Still on the bench. I have one more frog to build, then gonna spike it all together. I lost momentum on it.

Dontcha just hate when that happens…

Got my spiker in the mail along with the switchcrafters track gauges. Still waiting on the track.

I’m building my first switch. I’ve only had to tear it apart twice to correct something I forgot to do… :frowning:

Only twice?..you’re doing good…

That was this morning… :stuck_out_tongue:

The westbound switch at Williamsport that was giving us troubles has been rebuilt as a curved switch.

Yea, that one was kinda of a PITA when we were up there. Nice solution…

Hope I get half as much done on the layout this year! Need 4 turnouts to get out of Pearce Yard…

Nice!
Watching and absorbing!

Bob,

where are you geting the precast retaining wall ?

Al P.

What’s holding it up?

Al: I have a mold I made using one of those styrene block sheets, and some cedar sides. I cast them with sand mix. I can make them up to 15x15 inches square, but often do about 15x10.

Steve: The walls are buried about half their height, and then I poured mortar mix in behind them to set them in place. Shouldnt move!

That last picture might just be an optical illusion, but it sure looks like the wall is tipping outwards…
