The 3-way stub is a result of your "You could do a 3-way here at the mine" so I can get another track underneath it!
Bob says that almost like he thinks it's bad idea...... I vote with Ken..... :)
Hehe......yea, me too......;)

Pardon me if I missed an explanation somewhere (I’ll find it when I locate my missing marbles), but is that landscape fabric on the yard decking? It occurs to me that this is an idea I can – ahem – “borrow”.

I just asked that.

Bob that is a nice yard!
Are you going to squeeze in another siding?
I like the fabric idea !
So are you going to put down some type of ballast?
Sean

And he said!

Not another siding. There’ll be buildings in that spot. Going to put down ballast, and the fabric (and an edge I have yet to install) will (should) keep the ballast from washing away TOO badly.

Just trying to help with the search for the lost marbles!!!

Rocks, fill, plastic sheet, and sub-ballast hides the spline pretty well.

When the sub-ballast settles, I’ll do a final ballast with crusher fines.

Looking fantastic, Bob…

Startin to look like sumthin…

Very nice.

Is that wheelbarell still holding up?
Bob it’s really coming a long.
Can we get a shot of the mine that’s in the background in pic # 1&2
Sean

Looks good!
I’m partial too hostas and ferns myself.

Wheelbarrow is doing great, though I havent hauled any 300# rocks with it, which is what caused it to break in the first place. The mine is a model of the Majestic Coal Company colliery that was located in Majestic, KY. Its a mostly accurate model the only exception is the left side is about half as deep as its supposed to be. The rest is accurate.

The original has the mine conveyor coming up just to the right of the green door in the back. I have to model it, and the stairway that the door goes to.

Colliery is supposed to have 4 tracks underneath it, one more under the right hand building, and then the mainline, and passing siding. They served 100+ cars a day in its heyday. I like it because it small enough to model completely.

Looks great Bob. Glad to see I’m not the only one that still has plenty of work to do.

Thanks all. I wouldn’t be anywhere NEAR here if it wasn’t for all the help I’ve received.

Thats come a long way Bob. Looking real nice. When is the first train scheduled.

Soon, I hope. I’ve been working on getting everything into TrainOps. I have the towns and industries right now. Have to measure sidings, then inventory my rolling stock.

That sure looks nice Bob. Your love of gardening shows through as much as your love of railroads.

I really like the mine building. Very nice.
Ralph

Nice work Bob
