Top secret spy pics taken in the CVRR shops

OK digging this thread back up as the rail truck has since been re powered with a German made motor and the Japanese motor has been removed. I hope to see how it performs this year at ECLSTS on the Timesaver. It did not like the switches last year and the motor was way too hot??

You dug it up but left the pictures behind  Ralph

Ralph, you fell for itā€¦ heā€™s just trying to add more pages to this topicā€¦

Why wait for York? Bring it up to Scranton this Sunday

Naah...I don't care about pages, just more to read. The new motor does work very well though.

Thought that was a steam guys gathering?

If your nice to Shawn and Jon they might let a stinking diesel guy show up.

I donā€™t think itā€™s entirely live steam. Lost of the guys from one of the two clubs run sparkies. Prolly not many diseasels though. Cā€™mon up anyway

But if Rooster shows up then you will 2 younginā€™s to look after.

Shawnā€™s easy heā€™ll just sit in the corner, occasionally ride his tricycle and play with his dollies. My fear is if I show up Jon will tether me too Shawn stuck in the corner with nothing but a trike and Barbies. Waitā€¦ Jon would be the supervising adult? ā€¦ Kenā€™s not coming is he??

HeHeHeā€¦maybe you and Shawn can control the days activitiesā€¦2 young guys against 1 ā€˜olderā€™ guy. P.S. Iā€™m on your side Jon.

Rooster you can bring anything you want to run. I might bring my climax or just watch. Plus their is the train museum. Plus we can give Jon a hard time when he baby sits us LOL. How far is Scranton for you? Should be an easy drive up 81? I think. Everyone is doing it Rooster.

Iā€™ll be damned if I can find these old pics !

However I did find this running at Lionel speed to keep the video short (back in the day) !

Sooooo Rooster,

Uh, do you have the Photobucket spy photos from the start of the post?

he canā€™t.
the photos were picnapped by photobucket - and he diddnā€™t pay the high ransom.

Dā€™oh! Thatā€™s what that part of the post meantā€¦
How embarrassing.šŸ«¢ā€¦

most of us fell into that trap.
we liked to use the ā€œfreeā€ picture storage webspaces.
ā€œfreeā€ for the user, financed by advertizing.
when that idea did not work out, these companies simply denied access to the stored pics.
thousands of forums and other websites were affected.
when they offered, the affected users could regain acces to their own pics - in change for payments - most people were so piā€¦d off, that many pics ceased to exist.
that was about a decade (?) ago.

similar things can happen, when forums get ā€œupdatedā€ .
either the pics stored in that forum simply get deleted. (happened on MLS)
or the new software can not understand the URLs of the old pics. (happened here)
in the former case everything is lost. in the latter case it needs a nosy newbee from an uncivilized country to ask for the pics - than the old farts wake up and actualize their URLs pic for pic.

or, a forum is simply closed down, and somebody else makes a replacement forum. (happened with gscale mad and GSC)

so, i would strongly recommend, that you either get your own webspace, or some memory sticks to store copies of your own pics.

and LSOL. :slightly_smiling_face:

MLS is going through something similar at the moment. New images just donā€™t show - Admin admits to an major image display problem.

LSOL

yes. that was before my time, so i didnā€™t have it on my radar.

Being a new member, and because LSC is so well archived, it made sense to search LSC first, ask questions later. Pictures often add so much context. The effort members put into preserving their LSC posts is commendable.

Ironically, navigating the LSC WAYBACK MACHINE often answers my question but sparks two more! Ha!

Anyway that is my round-about way of saying thanks guys.

Was digging through old pics and tried to fix as best as can for now. Hope this helps Bill ?
