there is good news. I have decided not to use the Porter for building this. I will use the Porter to build a 2-4-0 with a tender maybe.

Sells the whole set real cheap also. I may buy the passenger set and then just a loco. Then I cn have the cars and the two drives I need. Ha aha but I wont build it.

yes I think I need to turn off google as well. I have way to many ideas and nowhere near enough time. . . or money.

The thing about Al Kramer’s EBay site is that his stock comes and goes, so when he puts stuff on sale you have to jump on it if you want it.

The short sets he offers for $59.95 are really a good deal. You get the locos tenders and two cars for that price. plus 18.00 shipping. I may buy the passenger short set and a freight short set with box car and gondola.
I was looking for other pictures of the Mallet in the OP because I like the stack. I think I want to copy its design for the the little loggin loco I am making. I came across the parent site, there are tons of cool little locos on here.

I forgot to add, be sure to read the description fully, the discounted set I got was for loco and cars only, no track or power supply. I hate bmann crap track so It works fine for me.
He has a couple of these trackless sets on eBay right now.

I haven’t seen the sets, but the individual locos are excellent. Quite a good mechanism in them for the money.

after my email inquiry to you about using a single ESC to run a multi-drive articulated locomotive, it changed my opinion to switch to these drives instead of the older ones in the 0-4-0 Porter. That and the fact that we can get them pretty darn cheap.
