This is never going to end

Maybe the groundhog was predicting the weather on the California desert. It's feeling like Spring!
The worst thing about March and April in the ortheast is we can get a day or two of 60-70 degree temps followed a snowstorm and temps in the 20's or a 33 degree rain. Or we get a nice day with a cold breeze. These next two months are the tease months for us. Hit or miss.

And teasing ir is doing. Our low was supposed to be 37 degrees. At 4 a.m. it was already 46 degrees! It’ll probably snow next week!

My low was 10 this morning and a high in the 20's

The first year that I loved in beautiful downtown Deer Park, we got 8 inches of snow on the 8th of May. I have a pic of my canoe on top of my truck with 8 inches of snow on top of it. We were planning to go canoeing that afternoon, after work.

It was 14 deg. this morning when I left work to come home.
Come on SPRING!
My Harley is calling me. ride, ride.

Do to a lack of intrest Spring has been cancelled and we will be going streight to summer in a few weeks. Keep crying and I’ll just for go summer as well.

A dash of freezing rain last night, and a dollop of four inches of wet snow on top of it. Fun, fun, fun, scraping it off the van this morning :stuck_out_tongue: And cleaning off the front and back walks :frowning:

wow… Well our two feet of snow from last Saturday is now down to an inch or so.

Ours lasted about 1 day and now we have a warm wind. No fire in the stove last night! First time since November.

Doug, I posted a photo of the wye leading out of the train room, no snow included thou.

After getting 2 inches of rain woke up this mornong to a windy 30 degrees and moderate snow and a 1/2 inch on the ground. Good thing this time of year the snow melts fast.

We received over 4 inches from this rainstorm. It turned to freezing rain here just before ending at dawn. As I headed down to the basement to start my car early this AM I noticed an odd reflection at the bottom the stairs. The basement is just flooded over, not deep, but carpet soaked (again). In the garage I had about 4 inches. Should have gotten the pump out last night instead of watching a dumb Miley Cyrus movie :frowning:

On the way to work I had to find a route around flooded intersections. Our shop sits on a rise near the Still River. Parking lots on 3 sides have aver a foot of water.

yea we had 2" of rain yesterday and woke up to a half inch of snow on the ground today. Thank you Fr. Fred

It rained all day Sunday. Then after dark it started to snow. I went to my son’s friend’s daughters Birthday party about 26 miles away, in the rain and when we left for home it was snow mixed with sleet about 2 inches worth.
It was like a blizzard going home. we finally found home about 45 minutes later.
The last I looked out at 3 AM it was still snowing and blowing.
We ended up with a bit over 10" of the white stuff on the ground.
Boy was it wet. My Cub Cadet handled it ok when I cleared the driveway out today.

It was Marilyn's request for movie night. I protested for the first half hour, then decided resistance was futile :) it was 1:45 long. The last 15 minutes weren't bad.

Fair enough.....but your image is somewhat scared

Jon,

Thought of you guys when I saw the weather map. Sorry, that it keeps hitting you. Maybe August won’t be brutally hot. It’s changing here and it will there, also.

At least it was a serious movie, not a Hanna Montana flick!

We get at least one of this big rain storms a year. Every year or so the timing is such that it can’t absorb into the ground and the run off ends up in our basement and garage. We know better than to leave things on the floor. Basement furniture is either up on blocks or made of plastic. Before we owned the house they put down indoor-outdoor carpet in the basement. Since I’ve been here I’ve never had it empty enough to get rid of the carpet. We spent two hours with a wet vac tonight pulling about 6 gallons of water out of the carpet.
