Ralph… that side will always face away from the cameras eye so hold on to it for reference

Hollywood…you’ll never get anywhere unless you open up that narrow mind  There is life on both sides of the station. Ralph

I love that picture. Thought it was great when you first posted it, and still do. The soft focus on the figure makes her look very real, and the sharp focus is on the siding of the cars. Knowing your camera it was probably a happy accident - but a good one

I agree with Jon. That is one neat picture. I was just showing it to my daughter and she loves the “portal” look going through to the train.

If your track is looking good after the Winter you had, I’d say you were in pretty good shape. Actually though, all that snow probably insulated the ground and prevented an extreme frost heave. The piece of “Ladder track” I put in at “Red Bud Loop” certainly did a good job holding everything level.

Back on topic now. I devoted the day to finishing the install ]

Heres another he got when he circled back Hope they’re enjoyed.

Now that’s impressive. It looks great. I really like it.

Very nice  Couldn’t you find a better looking box car to obstruct the view. It’s not even lettered. Probably on its way to the scrap yard. When do we get to see the entire passenger consist at the station? Ralph

Looking good Dave

DUDE!
Bring that box car up so I can tag it with obscenities and Ralphs name. Hope Storm took a wiz on the station to break it in!
Looks GREAT!

SaWheat!

I hope you did not call in the wrecking crew cuz of the show out come.

It certainly looks a whole lot better in that location than it did sitting on a table. Are you going to run another siding to the back side platform? And do the lights work?

Ralph that’s the best looking car I have
No wreaking crew Geoff. How could I sell it if it were dismantled?
Hadn’t really considered that option Ken. At this point the grass at the pass end and along the platform you’re talking about is going to be a parking lot,but I need the materials first. My second loop is slated for along the track in front of the station. Yours might be a better plan, CAN WE GET A VOTE, for operations. And allthough wired not connected yet.

For the rest a thank you for the comments and support. I really enjoyed the build and the assistance with ideas on it to make a better model.

Dave

Well, that makes sense, in order to load freight from the station to delivery trucks. But that could also be done from one end or another with a x'ing over the track. Personally I'd have a second track there coming from the opposite direction the present one comes from, just to handle any extra freight cars (and to make operations that much more complicated.....;)) Then to make it even more interesting, even extend it along side the other siding thus having to go through one freight car to unload the second one.........;) I've seen that done in quite a few places.

A second track out front would look good with just a covered platform to handle the traffic. And a tunnel under the tracks connecting it to the station.

Anyway, that’s my vote…

Man, that looks fantastic. Really like how the boxcar is tucked under the eaves. I didn’t catch that feature at the show.
