Is the dry transfer the better way to do lettering? I have a couple of cars I want to re-letter, but do not know what type of lettering is best.

I think it’s all in your preference. The best way is the way YOU like. I’ve been very happy getting custom decals from Stan, but getting custom dry transfer seems a lot harder.

Ron, as someone who just went through this I will say it can be difficult and expensive to get someone to do dry transfers. If you are re-lettering cars it comes down to what level of detail are you looking to do. It it is just a name or logo you can use vinyl. If you are looking to add the more detailed letters showing weights and warnings and the like then decals or dry transfers work better. The unfortunate thing is hardly anyone does dry transfers anymore and if you do find someone it is gonna cost you.

Vinyl looks nice as well. I got this set from Del Tapporo:

Ron, you could always just paint on your lettering.
