Resize the pic to 800 pixels wide.
Many thanks Ken. Will make a mental note for future. Max.
If you have pictures stored on a server that are over sized, the window on here that you use to post a picture has a resizing function. That’s all I used when I re posted your picture, It’ll save you some time.
Neat pic, BTW…
I’ll search out the function next time I post. Thanks for the info. Pity I’ve lost the link to a simple little video I made of that consist going around my line clearing off a layer of snow. I’ll have a little root around and post if I can retrieve it. Max.
Nice photo Max. We had the perfect amount of snow Friday for pictures and it was cold all night so it was still fluffy on Saturday. I thought about running a train for about 10 minutes, but a 20F with stiff winds I once again decided that Ken’s favorite vision of winter ; through the picture window; was the correct course for me.
Without Shwan V. posting winter shots; I’ve lost my motivation

Don’t forget the best part, the woodstove going full blast…
No woodstove here, but I do have a propane stove in the basement where the indoor layout lives that’s nice and warm
Well, it has been years since the wedge was moved. They found it all rusted and frozen on a lonely siding. Long ago someone swiped the spreader wings and used them on something else.
Poor thing. Maybe it should be donated to a museum.
I give, I just can’t photos to cooperate.
We haven’t had “plowable” snow here in a few years. All we seem to get is slop, slush and ice anymore. Perhaps some old pics will inspire you Jon ? They are old cause that Conrail Geep was sacrificed to make aan F40PH
Btw…neat pic and welcome Max.

Thanks, but let’s not forget the Hot Chocolate…
Here is my USAT rotary looking at a big pile on the mainline.
It does not actually remove snow, but looks good
I use double headed Shays with the wedge to actually plow the mainline
And clean up with the Western MD F Units
and then run the inspection train to be sure
Got lucky as it was a light and fluffy 3 inches not preceded by ice as us usual.
Happy winter
Jerry
Wow, even in scale, there’s just not much snow here.

So, just imagine my surprise when I found out the county schools were CLOSED today.
The department store will be open later.

By the looks of that sign it’s plenty windy though. Good thing that ancient coal furnace in the basement is still working
What do you do in the beginning of a blizzard? Go take pics of the layout of course.
Probably won’t see these buildings again until spring.
