Ken, do you think you could show some better pictures of that carrying case?

Certainly…ain’t much to it…

3/4" ply, ran some grooves in it on the table saw, and screwed it all together. I usually make the sides higher then the loco, but this beast weighs a ton, so I made the sides lower to save some weight, not that mattered…

The ramp just slides down in those slots on the end.

Another Summer time photo. The Cape Cod Central pulls around the hydrangea bush this past week.

I really need to make some of these, before I break everything trying to carry them all outside!

That’s mainly why I built them. That and transporting then when I head to Fred’s in Canada or Bob’s up in Mass. They’re all battery powered with sound and R/C so carrying them by hand and then trying to connect the wires between the cab and tender gets to be a PITA…

Here’s the way I built mine: http://www.largescalecentral.com/articles/37/Loco-Carrier

Hey Todd …you know if if change the PH or acid content of the soil you can change the Hydragena flowers color. Kinda a fun thing to play around with if you feel like it .

Thanks, I will have to give it a read.
I think Bob is about a hour north of me, I need to sneak into his compound some day and check it out

Hot you say. It was around 75 out when I ran the goose. That’s kind of hot for here

Matt,

75ºF hot? Here in N Florida I can get that hot in the winter!

Thanks.

I also have Bachmann Goose #1. 2 and 6 are nice designs. I like the work Goose #6.

Goose 5 is a good runner and there is enough room inside to conceal a battery and electronics. But I didn’t think it looked right without flags. Extra flags are about the only detail changes I made. Oh that and moving the drivers seat to the left rather then dead center.

Thinking I might need a goose myself …

It was 75 here at 5am! Going to be 96 degrees tomorrow, so no chance of running trains for a while :frowning:

More Summer running fun…

I like the look of the real spikes on “you guys” tracks. I’m going to try it on a bridge soon.

Shay #'s 4 & 5 were taken out today!
