Good pics Shawn. always a pleasure to view them.
Thanks guys.
After ballast work and track straightening here are a few shots of the Little River RR this Spring 2014.
Its nice to be getting out in the sunshine.
Doc Tom
Looking good Tom. I took my Forney out yesterday and tested out Tony’s new TX-2 controller. Im really happy with it. Nice to get away from the big clunky RC ones.

Thats one great looking loco.
Great photos Shawn. My running season is winding down, here is an overview of the layout. In less than a week it will be barren until the fall.
Shawn, beautiful pictures! I love that fence. Very cool.
LAst Weekend the WV&K had a maintenance run with guest locomotives to test track. And some new iron got put into place, notably a cabin/coach track, the ties have been in place for about three years…finally got the rail down…
First up was Gary B’s Racoon Creek & Gully No7, a somewhat modified Ariso Classic C16, with a WV&K freight…
Next up was RC&G No10 a Bachmann Indy 2-6-0 with a short coal train…
The Larger WV&K Motive Power was all on assignment, but No8 was working as the Port Lavender switcher, giving a proper dose of geared power to the occasion…
A rare occurance saw Diseasel Power on the WV&K; Ohio Central 2847…
An appearance was put in by former Big Sandy Valley nee WV&K No2, a hard luck engine, that due to mechanical issues that have yet to be solved didn’t run very well…
And The Adventure Continues…
Good to see trains running on the WV&K. Nice pictures!
Finally got a visitor to run on the WV&K besides me…
Great pictures so far. I had a chance to run yesterday. Too windy for live steam so I took the Climax out.

Nice and green:)
The other day I was outside inspecting some work that I had had done…and one of my neighbors stopped and asked if they could use my yard to set up a lemonade stand for some Girl Scouts…and could I run the train.
This past Monday was the day, and it turned into a great day. Lots of little girls! Yes, they did like the train. Here’s what it looked like when they first arrived, since I forgot to take any shots later.
It was a lot of fun. Lots of questions from the mom’s as well as the kids. Only one little brother climbed over my fence.
I had spent some time “tuning” up the trackwork on Sunday and it ran flawlessly. However, as soon as they left, my locomotive derailed! - Usually, it’s the other way around.
That is an impressive railroad! Great pics!
Get any free lemonade?..
Great job, cute kids.
Its oaf-fish-ally spring here on the P&CS too. I can tell because this year’s show car has finally made an appearance on the railroad.
With all the commemorative cars I have, I need to come up with a suitable locomotive to pull the commemoration train.
David, it seems the appropriate engine would commemorate our Nation’s founding which would call for a 1776-1976 model. Or an appropriate loco for the Golden Spike (I don’t know the year and am too lazy to look it up).
My Bi-centennial car was outshopped by Shawmut Car Shops earlier this year. It is a most beautiful and eye catching car. It is based on a USAT wooden sided range car. Something like this would complement your existing consist David.
