Large Scale Central

The official Spring photo thread

Now that we are officially into Spring:

Yesterday I ran some battery power. The weather was cold and breezy but my son insisted we run trains. We took the mogul out in the evening. No live steam, too windy.

You said your son wanted to run trains. LOL

Shawn wanted to run’em, his son wanted to watch…

You have to give me some credit for trying

So it is said, so let it be written.

That’s his story and he’s stickin’ to it!

Ok slackers guess Ill have to post some more pictures. I missed out on the nice weather this weekend but I did get to run the live steam Shay. It was warm out but windy. Rain tomorrow and maybe some white stuff tomorrow night ugh…

ACCCCK!!! NOOOOOOO!!! The Horror…The Horror!!!

I ran a streetcar this past weekend to make sure I didn’t mess up the wiring while redoing the front side of the upper reverse loop. I decided to remove my hand-laid switch and put in an Aristo wide radius switch. I also replaced the curve that feeds into the switch with a 4 foot diameter curve. It turns out that the existing curve was a bit tighter then that.

I feel for ya Boomer. Did it at least melt my afternoon? That’s the only good thing about early and late season snow, it doesn’t last.

Shawn

I still do not see a kid?

What gives???

Shawn,
Are you sure that is your shay? It looks to shiny and new.

I agree Nico…

Too clean Shawn!!!

Snow forecast for Wednesday AM here too :frowning: But if was almost 75 today

Haha ya I know. Weathering is on my to do list.

We had a great Easter running trains. We ran a little of everything, sparkies, batter and live steam. We even took Thomas out for some fresh air.

Here is the Mill I pawned off Ken. I knew it would look great on the layout. Just needs some detailing and some water for the water wheel. My plan is to just have pond less water feature.

Looks good even if you lied about the boy. Or was that wishful thinking ?

Hollywood lol… that bot is very camera shy. He’s a tough one to get in the camera. Every time I try to get him he runs away lol…

Great pics Shawn, Ill run some trains today and try to post something. I like the red mining cars. they go well with the cricket:)

Super pics Shawn. This one is very real looking…
