Train Sim 2013, and a neat old set of cast iron bookends SWMBO found in some consignment shop. Stylized locomotive/caboose on them, very 1930-ish.
Happy Day after everyone, We survived Christmas 2012!
Train LOOT for me included a calender, 3 RR DVD’s and a book “Images of Rail, Railroads of Cape Cod and the Islands”
A good haul.
Happy RRing into 2013!
It’s time to go shoppomg. I got a giftcertificate for Upland Trains and a license plate bracket that says "I’D RATHER BE PLAYING WITH TRAINS.
Lets see, I got a broken crystal in my RCS transmitter, and that is about it. My Wife bought a new Couch. A real dul Xmas! The only highlight is the New Years Day run on the CCRy!

No actual trains, but I finally got to see the old books that Jon Radder sent me! (Thanks Jon - interesting stuff in there.)
And a box of small tools for my small FL workshop. I circled useful tuff in the Micromark catalog and passed it to the trouble-and-strife (wife). I just had a problem remembering what they all were for!
Google Play gift card from the wife and kids and the female parental unit obtained a copy of “Garrets of the World”. Got to love the public wishlists at Amazon! Oh, and from myself I got a new graphics card for my system… finally! and from me I got new SATA cables to rewire all the drives in my tower.

Hows the weather by you jon? Moderate snow here with 4-8 inches in the forcast. Maybe more plowing tomorrow.
It’s snowing like gangbusters at the moment. Might turn to rain overnight - or might be more snow depending on the track.
I didn’t have to work this morning so I policed the line, picking up twigs and leaves in anticipation of a plow extra. Inside switching of the plow train was done Saturday so it is on the main ready to head outside. My transmitter is apart on the bench trying to figure out (again) why it looses connection. I’ll try and get it closed up and working tonight for a possible morning plow extra.
Outside or in, playing trains, working or anything is better than sitting around moping over a cold. I rarely get them, but when I do I refuse to let them stop me.

Sounds like my TE Jon. I spend more time getting it to connect than running trains! My latest theory is that we are on approach for Edwards AFB and that military planes carry some sort of jamming device and it knocks out TEs.
