I ordered and I received; including two EMEK trucks SWMBO brought me back all the way from Switzerland. Other than that we buy during the year when we need it and/or when the deals are irresistable.
Only train related present I got was an old battery powered signalmens or trainmens lantern. Made by the Adams & Westlake Co. in Chicago. Still trying to do a little research on how it was used and when.
Some Colorado Model Structure Buildings, An Eaglewings building, (the wind sure won’t knock it over) and the usual “daddy” stuff.
I have the trains running now. My 4 yr old nephew loves the work train so thats making the rounds along with an express passenger and branchline local.
Merry Christmas and Happy Railroading to all !!!
Bart Salmons said:I got to watch the four grandkids rejoice in dividing the spoil, and it was good. Tomorrow, I think I shall unbox the Emily that Fred kindly ordered in for me and take a closer look at her. She is rather a big girl, and I have to check to see whether she and her three carriages will fit in Thomas's Branch passing loop -- I think it'll be OK. If not, I'll just use a two-coach train at the next show in January.
....whatchall score?
Like HJ, us elders tend to buy what we fancy (budget permitting ;)) at any time.
“She is rather a big girl”

A pair of B’Mann drives I ordered for myself, and time to visit with my family. My side decided years back to stop trading gifts since we get for ourselves as needed, but we still make sure we get together on Christmas if at no other time of the year.

A Doctor Who scarf and an 8x10 glossy autograph of Yeoman Janice Rand signed by Grace Lee Whitney.
I got the gift of family together for Christmas
for railroad related, I recieved a knife made from a railroad spike
Like Aaron, I got the gift of being together with family. My youngest and his bride-to-be put us up in a fancy hotel in Downtown Keene, NH and we got to spend three great days with them. Christmas eve we did some railroad related exploring, hiking to an abandon stone arch railroad bridge and checking out the remains of a downtown roundhouse converted to a shopping center.
As far as loot goes, just an 18V Lithium-Ion powered drill. Hopefully I won’t ever need to wait for drill batteries to charge before starting a project ever again
Some Lemax figures, a couple ‘log cabin’ birdhouses… and to see my girls for a couple hours!
trainwise? - i got a white t-shirt, handpainted with a loco and the words “Ich mag Züge” (i like trains) from one of my daughters.
So that signifies that you are officially recognized as a FERROEQUINOLOGIST.
Had a very nice Christmas this year. Train wise the better half approved purchase of a DSP&P way car kit with interior, a Connie that needs some tlc, and a but load of lagas alluminum track & switches. Special thanks to my Gerry and Mike Reilley for making this one of the best Christmas’s ever

We received the joy of having 4 generations together and some wonderful food and times. Loot included an Aristo Dow Chemcal tank car and a hat with Kaskaskia Valley Railway stitched on it. We are truly blessed. All the best of the New Year to our friends here on LSC.
