Shawn, maybe I will hang out the window and snap off a few.
Got 5 inches yesterday. zero degrees today. We shall see if I can brave the cold for a plow special.
The unusual warm weather has hit us and the snow is meting fast. The line is completely clear so I took advantage of the warmer weather and ran some live steam

Shawn, way cool. I still cant see any part of my track:( By the way I added a nice looking wood pile in my lumberjack;) happy steaming.
Thanks Ron. You need to get a kids shovel and trim the sides down. Thatās how I get my tracks done. I still have to add a wood pile to mine. Im thinking about adding RC to it as well.
Nice videos John! I mounted the camera on top of the plow yesterday to get some ride-along plowing video. Still editing - will post when I can.
Nice John. Looks good with some snow. We lost most of our snow last night. I went to bed with full snow cover and woke up to patches.

I still havenāt completely figured out this new-to-me camera. I have it set in HD mode (1280 x 720 pixels) and the native MOV files it produces are the same size. Iām using a free converter (AnvSoft Any Video Converter) to get them into an mjpeg format that MS Movie Maker will read. On the first pass the converter down-sized a few of the clips to 320x240. I didnāt realize that until I had spent many hours editing. I tried to fix that by going back to the converter and making sure the output was 1280x720 and it looked OK coming out of the converter. Strange thing is that MS Movie Maker saw one of the fixed conversions at 1280x720 but the rest it still thinks are 320x240. Iāve already spent too much time on this - so here it is in low-def.
With temperatures in the mid 50ās on the Winter Solstice 2013, the C.V.S.Ry. MOW Crew decided it would be a good day to clear the line of the remnants of last weekends snowfall. Featuring New Haven GP-9 #1224 and Norfolk & Western High-Hood SD-45 #1741 this Ride-Along video covers all main line track of the Candlewood Valley Scenic Railway for a camera mounted high on the front plowā¦
Great video Jon thanks for sharing.
This one is two years old. I need to drag that little camera out again. The red flagging indicated areas to lay new track at the time.

Jon, I love it !!!
Before the snow really hit, I got out the plow to make sure it wasnāt going to have any issues this year.

The NS freights ran while it was snowing, so long as it wasnāt too deep.
The PRR kept the passengers warm as they headed across PA.
Even Conrail looks good in the snow. Seen here at Wyomissing Junction.

Iām still a Reading fan at heart and a thought a caboose shot might make for a little better variety.
The snow made it seem a little foggy while the crew of Reading NW-2 #103 was doing some switching.
Then when the snow was deep enough I ran the plow to clear the tracks.

Charlie, how much does your plow weigh?
Jon great ride along your layout. Aiden enjoyed it as well. Nice work.
Great pictures C Z!
So, my problem with Movie Maker is Iām running the old XP version. I booted up my Win-7 partition and downloaded Movie maker 2012. It recognizes the native HD .MOV files. So I spent most of the day getting it set up and starting over on the video editing in HD. Got it all finished and ready to upload to Vimeo to replace the previous version and got told that it was too big! Free accounts have a 500Mb limit, the HD version is 900Mb. Now I need to see if I can compress it somehow :[

Jon I ran into the same problem. Some of my videos uploaded fine to vimeo but others not so much. It had nothing to do with length of video. I always upload to both vimeo and youtube just in case. Im using the windows live movie maker.
