The Nürnberg situation

Hi all,

As mentioned not long ago EPL isn’t the only one in trouble, today there’s another insolvency, approx same number of employees and the same insolvency trustee: Dr. Steffen Goede. Who already pleads with the employees to stay the course. Perhaps for starters they should talk to the LGB employees!

Hmmmmmmmm I think just for interest’s sake I follow that one along and see what happens.

I’d say that as of right now it looks like the employees will no longer be employees as of Tuesday and will be standing in the unemployment lines. Essentially, by Wednesday there won’t be enough of LGB left to rescue. Greedy banks want all or nothing…and and it looks like they will get their wishes…nothing. I suspect that shortly after that (barring any miracles) the lawsuits will fly. (HJ does the duck and run…stage right)

Personally, I think there were too many things going on that when looked at objectively, didn’t look right.

E-mail campaigns to the bank probably did more harm than good BY FAR, and if the Bank did see the e-mails encouraging folks to start the campagn, with the name of the sender, it’s no wonder they are balking.

However, even with distribution across the globe of said transmittals, I don’t know if the Bank has seen it or not.

Funny, also, is the reports of responses from said bank to the e-mail campaign.

No one I have talked to ever got any response, and one can see the bank that was the target of said e-mails seems to have set their resistance even more firmly since said campaign.

I mean, I could post that I had received e-mails from the White House.
I could even quote said e-mails.

Doesn’t mean they exist.

Pardon my ignorance, but who is he?

Ray,

Dr. Steffen Goede ist the same attorney who was appointed as the insolvency trustee in the EPL Patentwerk oHG insolvency.
To the untrained eye (mine!) it looks like he missed a few essentials in that matter or how else would one explain the insufficient financial support that Schöntag garnered??

And again this is just my personal opinion: if I would have been in the banks’ position I would have called for a replacement of the insolvency trustee the very day the insolvency went from provisional to active status. This strictly on the information that has come to my attention. But as I just said, that is, as always, strictly my opinion!
I’m not at the beck and call of a “publicist” or any other party that has a vested interest or for that matter anyone else! Getting orders from “Above and Faraway” is best left to those who are used to receiving and following orders!

Sehr geehrter Herr ,

And your point is…??

As HJ said, anybody can write an email. There’s no way to authenticate it. Besides, that one doesn’t say a thing. It’s nothing more than a publicity release that was most likely mailed to hundreds of people. They just collect all your names on an automated mailing list and bingo…you got mail. I’ve run websites that do that. It’s easy to set up…and nobody (that really matters) ever reads your email.

So now you are quoting HJ? However, I was just posting one e-mail that someone said did not exist. True, You can get the same type of form letter from your Senator or Congressman. Ah, so you admit to being a Spammer. And I’ve got a Superb SPAM Filter that filters them out & zaps them very well.

Wow Marvin!

Impressive!

I guess I should have sent my email to Sepp Ackermann, a compatriot of mine  , instead of Schürenkrämer. But I’ll follow up on that this weekend. Never hurts to get yet one more opinion in the mix, does it?

BTW since I wrote in German and I’m reasonably certain that you didn’t - or did Google do the translating - I would think that I’d get a reply in German. So far, nothing :frowning:

Sheesh makes me wonder if they play favourites at Deutsche Bank or if someone is just trying to BS us, what would you think??

BTW I’ll drop a line to Goldman Sachs, too. In lucid English with a German subtext. That should impress them! I’m still debating if there should be attachments as “Living proof” or if I should just hope for the best, doesn’t everyone nowadays??

Geez…Your memory must be shorter than your trees…Remember, I’m fairly fluent in German and Russian. (Actually studied in both countries). The DB seems to not understand Russian, so German had to do.

Think what you want…you usual do it, but speculation usually only works well in the commodities market, if you have the money to play.

It will be settled on Monday, finally…and then you will have to find another subject to impress the home viewers…if any are still bothering to view?

Marvin,

My understanding is that the next meeting will be on Monday. Given the fact that G-S hasn’t “toed the line” yet, despite the meeting at the Bavarian Ministry of Economics!, it will be interesting to read the NN and NZ edition on May 1st. That is if they work that day, after all it is International Labourday! We shall see, won’t we.

BTW unlike some other people, the outcome of this saga is of little consquence to me. Matter of fact I’m in the process of ordering some KISS engines. Pretty good value for the price if you consider that the scale is much, much better than most of what LGB produced in all those years.

On another note since you, as a valued insider, feel so confident about the outcome, why would you invest your hard earned money in a pile of spare parts etc. etc.?? A precaution for Plan B not working quite as expected???

PS If you’re fairly fluent in German, why would you depend on Google and Babelfish? I’d never suffer through that if I could help it.

But it’s OK if one thrives on gibberish!

If you had ever talked to "A Friend of the Circle", you would know that I have bought LGB parts, as I find them, for years. (I have shared other manufactuers parts, that I didn't need, with some of them.) And I have bored the "Circle" with reports and photos of projects made from these located parts often over the years. Over 30 projects, since the early 1990s, made their way onto the pages of the Old LGB Model Railroad Club "Big Train Operator" Magazine as well.

Remember the comment on “speculation”…your mind can deceive your eyes.

My comment was in reference to your gleeful post regarding the track, something along the line that those who didn’t listen would be a bit short and you had all that you needed.

But that doesn’t matter at all, there will always be those who hoard - packrats! - and that’s OK! It takes all kinds to make the world go round.  Besides, I hear that Aristo and other track is readily available. No shortage of track, except for LGB?!?

Wow Marvin,

I see that you’re into passing off my translations on the LGB Family Yahoo Group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LGBFamily/message/254

That is very kind of you! Why not mention who did the translating? Are you afraid that the “publicist” or one of his “helpers” would pull the post?

OK, TOC posted the part of the “Shills” and the “Stooges”, let’s add the “Quasi-Plagiarist” to that list!

No “quasi” about it.

Dave,

Come to think of it and the episode a few weeks ago, yes, no doubt about it!

I said “a translation” but gave or took no credit for it.

I used to think this hobby had a habit of sharing with others, but you and your axis are changing that thought pattern. Pity.

And the PERSONAL ATTACKS continue, I see!

Yes guys.

Stop being nasty to Marvin.

After all he has an incredible understanding of ethical behaviour.

Just ask him.

Marvin,

Have you noticed that most of the LSC participants readily give credit when it’s due? If they notice something at another forum that is of interest they actually make note of where the information has been posted or it is being linked.

This in contrast to your practice of copy/pasting and not attributing the sources or using quotes to make the matter clearer. But that’s how it is! It is your choice!
