The CVRR is getting a new deck truss bridge

David,

Nice bridge and setting… It should provide many hours of enjoyment, watching trains run across it…

And, as Ralph says… Give it some time, it will weather itself…

Well, Dave all you need now is a model of this one…

Your a funny guy Mr Brunt!! Ok it’s a deal, I’ll build the bridge but you must build and maintain the water feature under it!!! Ralph and Andy…clean your glasses or go get a set as I was talking about weathering my rolling stock! Actually I want some graphitti on them and have a plan for that as well! Dave M…Your A/B units track power or battery?? Either way I believe they need to be photographed on the CVRR! We can call it an excursion or something?

David, I can't speak for Andy, but I don't wear or need glasses. Maybe yours need cleaning though :)

This is what I said:
“If you run your trains enough, the weathering will take care of itself.
The bridges look great.”

That said…I like the idea of adding graffitti.
Ralph

Com’on Ralph…don’t make slap a diaper on ya’…relax!
Hopefully some day your rolling stock will interchange north to the CVRR so I can graphitti on it (under the darkness of a new moon). I will be drunk and up to no good so I’m thinking a giant ding dong on your Cardnial as he looks pissed as all heck and possibly read to mate!
I love the logo !!

I am relaxed. Wasn't crying. Ralph

I guess the  wasn’t enough.

David, A little artwork to inspire you. Ralph

Ralph, we ought to sneak over to David’s, and hide behind the fence, pop out a few knot holes, and use rattle cans, as the train passes… hehehe He’ll see graffitti…

Yes Sir, sounds like a plan. I didn't have the heart to tell David the Cardinal was neutered using a grant provided by the Bob Barker Foundation  Didn't want to be a buzz killer. Ralph

LMAO…
You guys are the best!

Know a few guys at the local fire company that can help out with that. You wanna scale Susquehanna flowin under that bridge?

Ken, That would be "tit's on a boar hog" .....just not reasonable!! ;)

Dave,

Track at this point. An excursion might work.

Might Work???
Your right …your consist would look terrible on the Viaduct or passing LEMO!!!
Your too close not too!!!..my shop 795-8510…best way to get a hold of me and please leave a message if I don’t answer ( and I probably won’t).
Lets take a poll?
Who wants to see Dave M’s excursion train pass through the CVRR?
Or would you rather see Ken and Andy in speedo’s all tanned up on a Mexican beach?
Think about that!

Anything to keep that picture of speedos out of print. Note the button I had to use to post this!
And don’t think it won’t be a pleasure for a photo-op on that aquaduct or the new bridge.

Dave

Give me a call

SO I have finally found a resting position for this bridge only after adding about 4 more feet to it making it just over 13’ long. I still hate the piers but they can always be fixed later. I like it where it is and will fit in well with Lemo tower. The CVRR viaduct was originally a deck truss as was the famous “Rockville Bridge” The way it works now is trains out of Enola headed south on the Lurgan Branch must cross the Rockville heading northeast out of Enola then go back across the Susquehanna viaduct(not the CVRR bridge) heading south west, then south to Hagerstown. I just need a dang river…gotta figure that one out yet!

That trestle looks super there. Maybe try Ray’s stone on foam method for the piers. With careful construction you could wrap what you have using his method.

Yes…I’m aware of that however I like the method I used (the piers I showed you) I think I might cut the center piers off period? However that would be an un prototypical span …so maybe 2 more of my foam and stone piers might be in order.
