you agree to a president who scraped in by the skin of his teeth and by many reports, manipulated the legal system in Florida, to avoid a recount by disavowing legitimate votes. History will show that this skin of his teeth president was the least favoured of all the persons who held office to that time. A monkey could not have done a worse job.

      I feel that you fear Barack Obama because he is a man of intellect,  something the predecessor could hardly lay claim to.  Could it also be a little Republican racism rearing its ugly head?????

you would be better off looking at the source of your source material. One would assume that the name of the site Colony14.net would imply a movement glorifying the original 14 states of the republic. Does that imply then that the remaining 36 states are not part of the greater United States? You take right wing views so far to the right, it makes one wonder if your family did not migrate from Germany, post war via the Odessa route. How was South America in the 1940’s?

By this standard, with the evidence available, Obama is NOT eligible to be POTUS, whether you like him or not. Multiple lawsuits are pending in our Supreme Court to either have Obama produce proof of his natural born status (which he can not) or to have him removed from office (the likely outcome). When he is removed, all Executive Orders, and Bills he signed will be null and void.

To argue about Obama’s eligibility is like arguing that the Sun will not rise tomorrow. Facts are facts. If the Justices have any integrity they must, by Constitutional law, hear the lawsuits and the petitions for redress in this matter.

Tghis is a matter of “attention to details” in our laws.

You truly are over the Hill. :slight_smile: I’m inclined to believe that the sun rises in the West and that we actually reside in the Southern Hemisphere, if it weren’t for the evil doers in this world who have indoctrinated us that by accepted convention the sun rises in the East und we live in the Northern Hemisphere.

Soooooooooo did you carefully consider what you would like to learn about LS model railroading or is that another subject where you have your unimpeachable sources and so much for that?

BTW I can hardly wait to read about the US court that entertains even consideration to hear the nonsense you are advocating regarding Obama.

The economy needs your help, buy an extra monitor - what the hell buy TWO new monitors - and set them up as super wide screen. No guarantees that it will go far enough in whatever direction it needs to go to cover where David is coming from, but it would be a start. :smiley:

I cannot wait to see David’s railroad contribution to this forum. He no doubt runs a Republican Presidential train as part of his normal consist and no doubt prefers to restrict his modelling to the east-coast theme, specialising in a Pennsy roadname.

I was going to suggest that maybe David had a pre-1861 disposition in his modelling timeframe, but chose not to be so specific. This would explain his request for information on the 4-4-0.

And what post of mine has led you to believe I am a fan of GW Bush? As far as the racism charge, you can stick that up … My only bias is against assholes, take that for what it’s worth.

My initial post was about modeling the Union’s war against the Confederate States. (FYI, technically not a civil war but since history is written by the winner, it is called the American Civil War.) Seriously, as much as it has likely become a cliche, I’d like to model this era more specifically “The Great Locomotive Chase”. I am an American history buff, an Army veteran, a former carpenter and electrician. Since retiring I enjoy woodworking, gardening and have now become a model train nut. (Is this where the term “someone is loco” started?) The troops from the Ohio regiments that went on the Andrews Raid were the first recipients of the Medal of Honor, which is what solidified my interest in recreating this story. I finished the front yard last year and now, I’d like to build a layout in my backyard incorporated with my landscaping plans.

If the freedom of information act would allow it, then the world would see how much the ex-president of vice or should that be ex-vice president feathered his own nest. Anyone guess whose company was awarded the most funds to rebuild the infrastructure in Iraq, post 2003? Anyone guess which company had to return over $9 million in false expenditure claims in Iraq and who was one of the main players in that company. The guy was good at hiding in the shadows manipulating the legal system to steal/deny basic human rights post 911, but was not so good when it came to disguising his personal greed.

Whether Barack is a Democrat or a Republican, he is a breath of fresh air that hopefully will remove the stench that has hung over Washington for the last eight years (not all of George W.'s doing). George W.'s failing was that he hung onto the people who brought his father down. Barack has injected new life into politics. I honestly do not believe that he will turn the economy around in one term, but what I do know is that it is the job itself and not the personal benefits derived, that drive him onward.

we have the same problem in that the only difference between our capitalist Labor Party and our capitalist Liberal Party is that at least Labor considers social welfare as one of its responsibilities. Apart from that, it is all much the same.

I consider myself a charitable person. I will help those less fortunate and in need. I just don't want the gov'mint taking what is mine at the point of a gun, keeping 80 cents on a dollar, then dribbling it out the the needy. Social welfare is a ponzi scheme of the greatest magnitude.

Only Barack Hussein Obama is a mullato and not black. Has never had any of the struggles of the people in this country of African decent, he was raised in a privileged white home with all it’s advantages. He is actually a White/Arab by birth.

He is currently an ineligible usurper holding the office of president, but is not by definition legally able to BE president.

His race has nothing to do with it.
