Large Scale Central

Thank you

Just wanted to say thank you for adding me. I just procured some Gn15 models and really enjoy the size. I just got back into model railroading after 40 years. My main modeling is On30, but have enjoyed seeing the G scale models around Central Ohio. I plan on building a small mining layout that I can transport to a show or club meeting

You need to see the work of our member Vic Smith. Do a search for “pizza layout” and see what comes up. (Some older threads may not have photos as this forum software changed a few years ago, and the owner didn’t move all the old photos. But they are recoverable.) Here’s one:

Vic models in 45mm gauge, but there’s no reason you can’t go smaller to Gn15.

Glad to have you on board! I have a handful of Gn15 things as well, not actually sure what I bought them for, but they sure are neat.

Welcome,

Can’t wait to see what you come up with. Also don’t be at all afraid to post your On30 stuff either. Way down the list of forum categories we have an “other scales” one. So let us know what you are up to there as well.

Aloha! Glad to have a new member aboard! And wit only seven months until the Mik, you are just in time!

Echoing the others Steve, welcome aboard.

Gn15 is so fun, it would be great to see your work.

For those that don’t do Gn15 (and as a reminder for me), here’s a layout example…

I’m sure you’re aware of Carl Arendt’s work:

Gnatterbox used to be a thing, but I can’t find anything on it anymore.

Anyway, please post on your work! And with pics, if you have 'em!
