Hey Rooster, any more progress on your end?

Coming along Scott, at this point you should open your own thread so you get the credit they deserve

I have not been on this thread for awhile, I got confused on who is building what???
I lowed my geneis by rescrewing the black truck mount inside and down, not from under side .

As the thread stated......I built my Superliners in 1:29 scale not purchased in 1:32 ...;)

Kinda in a lull currently Bob but have plans for more ;)

Hey Scott
I have been watching your progress with the Super-liners. Couple of suggestions…start your own thread on them (What you and David are doing is somewhat different) and re-size your photos, I’m on high-speed internet so it does not matter but the guys on dial up would appreciate it. Not being critical, just think it should be on your own thread to keep the two seperate builds apart. And BTW they are looking great.
Randy

Bruce posted an article on posting/resizing pictures on Windows here http://www.largescalecentral.com/articles/view.php?id=96 good stuff!

I wanted to say what Randy said,…
David
I’d love to have you come in Sept and run your cars here. I’ve seen lots of photos, but never up close and personal.
I have not had the guts to try modern pass cars yet.
I finally bashed couple of steam engines this past winter.

Marty,
Thanks for the invite I really appreciate that and would love too see how they look on your layout with all that open scenery. However for me too travel 100 miles from here is difficult and not because I’m old either…
I only have 3 cars made so far but they could be easily made by anyone with the basic skills and interest. I think the hardest part is getting the kerf’s/rabbets done correctly on the basic mock up …the rest is just patience and time. They do look good with the F40 I made pulling them and I take a lot of pride in my work. We have a lot of the same interests and would like to meet you in person someday (if you could handle that)
As for seeing them close up and personal the pics I take are cut and dry with nothing too hide…BTW I can take them all apart as well (kinda a fetish I have with my builds)

And see, as I was told, get into casting the parts. saves so much time.

Problem I have with casting is that the materials go bad on me pretty fast. Good idea to make your masters, do the molds, then order the casting material so you have enough to cast everything you want but not have any left over.
