Shawn I’m falling behind your lead. I started this months ago and you’re on improvement 93 this year.
David Marconi said:Oh, I forgot about that. It does sound a bit too formal. Since there seems to be an animal fixation prevalent, we could shorten it to "the Goat" :D Ralph
Thought I was the goaded one although I prefer not

Since there seems to be an animal fixation prevalent,
I have never touched, harmed, fondled or abused a pelican. Can you say the same about chickens, Rooster?
Ralph Berg said:I dunno - Then we need to differentiate between The Joat and The Goat. Sounds confusing :DDavid Marconi said:Oh, I forgot about that. It does sound a bit too formal. Since there seems to be an animal fixation prevalent, we could shorten it to "the Goat" :D Ralph

You’re right Jon. Best we just leave David as “The Goaded One”.

Ever cursed any of those pelicans Ric

Is the station done yet?
The Pelicans stay clear of the docks in the marina. I can’t ever remember seeing one up on the docks, like is seen down in Florida. Unlike the seagulls and the great blue heron. Usually the seagulls have the docks white by spring time. The ducks crap like dogs and leave that all over the place. We don’t have many geese around the marina, thank God. The geese and the swans seem to stay in the smaller ponds, instead of the “big water”. If it wasn’t for the seagulls, the dead shad all over the place, would leave a smell that would drive the people away. Ahhh nature.
David Marconi said:LOL I gues I shouldnt tell you im just about done with my fire tower and three bunk houses for the logging camp :-) Oh and kitbashing two aristo 2 axle flats. Working 10 hours days helps it gives me 3 days off a week plus when I do nights I have all day to play. LOL

Shawn, I used to take mine to work with me to eat up the idle hours. From the sound of things though you don’t need any help in getting it done.
Time for an update. Still need to work on some final details but the following are the finished roof and tower. Touch up paint and some minor details still in the works

How you like those raised letters? Note I’m out of putty so the chimney waits for paint

Note air vents still need to be painted All for now Although I will not make any major changes at this point your imput/suggestions are still appreciated as they can be used on future builds
Sweet!
That looks REAL good Dave!
ONly one chimney for that large station?
Very nice David. The letters look great!
I think you just might have a classic on your hands David. Really looking great!
Dave one chimney with three flues
Jon Glad you noticed
Richard without your build I’d still be figuring out how to do it.
You should cap the tower with a Rooster weather vane
A clock below the sign.
The shingle job still amazes me.
Ralph
Won’t be able to use a Rooster weather vane since your hanging him as I write
