Nice. Now you just need a switch for that tower :) Ralph
....yeah I know. IN real life when the tower existed where it did, that was pretty much how it looked out the front window and the yard/crossing was behind it. It fits so well in that spot though.

And a great time it was. Thank’s for the good time and hospitality. I think I would have let them play “where’s this” with that tower shot.

I probably would have if the viewer would see what they need to see out the window instead of naked screws and splined roadbed?

It still would have had some wondering how you got the pics

Let’s see what this thing looks like outside.

The Gipper #40 on his first trip around the garden with a short consist of an empty flat and a conductor’s car with the lights on. The men are likely playing poker in the back. Please excuse the crappy cell phone camera pictures. My real camera is out of film and the old digital died.

Fantastic work!!!

Ok, the boss desided that the sharp trun in the upper tunnel was going to be a problem so on a sunday he has the crew out working to make a new tunnel entrance. the guys were not happy about this one. heres a pic of the before.

So they got to work.

Did not take them long to get to the point were old number 5 was called in to help out.

By the end of the day they had the new entrace going and trains running again.

Now for the find of the day. Why I was at Lowe’s I came across this water mill. Was on sale for being broken for 20 dollars.

its solar powered lights and the water wheel works. I just have to run a hose to it from the water fall line. the wheel is waht was broken but that was a easy fix. Here is a night picture.

Geoff,
Looks good!..Just remember you have to maintain all that you build! For me that’s the fun part, however getting the layout to where I want it is a whole different ball of wax!!!..
I think your fundraiser this past winter was fantastic and I hope to do the same myself this fall.
Kudo’s to you sir!

Since it’s still “spring”…

Oh man my G.N. Mallet which could be yours would look really great going into and through that tunnel hope you are going to have access holes to service the tunnel !!! Need to be able to fetch engines, rolling stock, and critters out of it!!!LOL The Regal

Jerry the trun to get into the tunnel is to sharp for the mallet. I have to run my BIG stock on the lower two lines. They have a tunnel there as well and its just as long. Yes, I will have service holes to get things in and out of the tunnels.

Thanks Ken! ;)

I was able to get a few more shots today. Things are really greening up and looking good. I had my Porter out with one log flat and a caboose. The guys have not been cutting many trees down due to the weather all they needed was the porter and flat.

Shawn,

Great overall picture. Your plantings have filled in nicely. Pretty pristene for a logging operations. The new growth have covered the scars from the harvesting. This must be one of those environmentally green logging operations.

Wonderful Shawn!!
Thanks

Shawn, You’re growing in leaps and bounds. Like that expansion.

Dave

Beautiful day Sunday. Still Spring, they tell me. Sunny View Line engine #5 waiting for a green light at Interlocking Brunt.

Leaving Interlocking Brunt heading down grade. This shot really shows off how tight the R1 curves are.

Entering the curve at the bottom of the grade. Also seen here is the entrance of a 42 foot passing siding.

Pulling the grade up the other side.

Passing the Sunny View General Store.

Maybe I’ll paint the bottom of the tree silver and slap a Texaco decal on it  Ralph
