Yeah, I got some great shots of Sherman in your connie displayed in my gallery. Nice work on the paint job :)
I think you have me confused with Jack Thompson. I just wish I could paint as well as he does - really fine work. Nice guy, too. ;)

My bad Bruce!! You are right:) I’m getting old and senile, well, more older and senile than I used to be.

I can’t wait to see the primed version. This technology still blows me away. Transparent Aluminum can’t be far off :slight_smile:

They also print in an aluminum impregnated material where I do my prints.

A poor shot I took with my cell phone. I’ll get my real camera out with a tripod and get some better images. I also did a hastey job of priming. You can see my brush strokes in this image. I’ll fix that before I take another shot.

The kid is my cousin len. He is 2.5" tall.

Richard;

What software do you use to model your characters? Really beautiful work!

Neil

Sculptris, it is a very intuitive app. It’s like sculpting with clay. I’ve built meshes in 3Dstudio Max, Carrara, Hexagon, LightWave 3d and a couple of others whose names escape me and the require welding a bunch of polygons together to make a human form, but in Sculptris you start out with a virtual lump of clay and select the tools and brushes you need to make your shape.
Figure creation is hasten by the use of symetry, so when you sculpt a hand, you only need to sculpt the right hand and the left hand is sculpted automaticall, same for ears, feet, what ever. Then when you are ready to create the likeness, you turn symetry off.
I thoroughly recommend and endorse this application.

Since they all look like that figure in “Le Cri,” maybe we could call 'em “Munch-kins,” (chuckle, chuckle).

Here is Dr Petter’s Sculptris Home Page with all manner of tutorials, videos and assorted help. And here is CNET’s download page for Sculptris.

With just a casual trial, I am very impressed. I will definitely be adding this to my tool box.

Excellent choice Steve.
