Its been a few days now and I was wondering what you got from Santa this year? He brought me a new T5000 controller and a Accucraft J&S D&RGW coach.

Santa didn’t bring me anytime… I bought it. Since Thanksgiving…
Aristo passenger station
Piko general store
Late model Bachmann 2-4-2
Piko Drovers caboose
Also partook in the big sale at Hartland
2 Mack’s and 2 tenders
Also bought 3 New Blight and 2 Scientific train sets at the local Salvation Army for super cheap. I repurpose the 4 axle New Blight trucks onto the 2 axle scientific freight cars for future revinue service on the outdoor branch.
Aside from the HLW stuff, all used off the Facebook G swap and shop page.
I got a new firmware version for my Zimo system and now I can finally do consisting. I’m happy.

Nice ! Will you be sharing ?
I didn’t get nuttin, train related that is. My mom has no idea what to get me when it comes to trains. I have been buying (too much) stuff at auction, as my presents from me to me, and now I have quite the HO steam roster.
That is only the portion I have put DCC decoders into. I have quite a few more, still in boxes, that need decoders installed.
I got coal for Christmas!
Coal, cool. I gave coal to my (Ex) girlfriend one year. Then I had to explain to her what it was and why I gave it to her. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-undecided.gif)
Well coal is useful and train related.
Vincent, I’m thinking you won’t need those coal cars. Can I have them for Xmas?
(Nice little consist, BTW)

Only if you think you can handle them…
I know I only had two of these little cars to start with and somehow (like rabbits) they multiplied like crazy!
The jolly fellow in a brown truck brought me an Accuraft Emma to mess around with!
Combination bench grinder and sander…need a combined table and mitre saw next

You can’t just have one, like a potato chip!
A bright shiny Conundrum!
Santa gave me a choice, for a while there it looked like Dodge was going to steal my gift, but online forums say a broken shock bolt is common and I can get it out myself, without removing the control arm! B’bye Mr. Dealer…
A choice of: a 1st smartypants fone, or tablet or new pc or … my choice
I’m not a fan of small screens and my flip phone is leashy enough, but have seen smarties in use at the airport or shopping.
You can pet my Conundrum, it doesn’t bite.
John
The best gift I got was given yesterday, when my wife identified all the books & etc. she doesn’t care about anymore in our basement “library” room – which I’ve been gradually invading for my “model shop” purposes. Our last (of 4) kids is in high school, so there were numerous shelves of younger materials that are now boxed and soon going to Goodwill.
So, after reorganizing everything today, I ended up with 3 empty bookcases near my desk-workbench. It’s like being given a major power tool, like a table saw or lathe or something. Well, not a lathe. But something big. I’m really pleased!
I got Micromark’s latest Wiha tool set. It’s miniature tools - all the way from a 0.7mm slotted driver to a 7/32 socket. All the metric sockets are there, so I can take my chinese metal locos apart. There’s a screwdriver handle and a ratchet socket driver.
Wiha is the only way to go, some of my Accucraft stuff has the WEIREDEST sizes I have ever seen, and torqued down to the point of stripping the threads.
Greg
I have a small set of Wiha nut drivers. I never heard of them until I bought my last set of copier tools, and half of the drivers were Wiha. Nice stuff.
.23ga Pin Nailer, assorted size nails, Garden Railway Basics, and a gift card for track and switches
I didn’t get anything railroad related, but I did get a cool, steel off-road bumper for my 4Runner, and will also have the suspension upgraded when I have them install the bumper.
