Show update?

Well it’s a shame Shawn had to leave early on Friday because had he stayed he would have gotten Bruce to sign his ass. I asked Bruce to sign my ass and he graciously did.

Aahhhhh 0K Shawn, Since I’m such a nice guy I had him sign two asses one for me and one for you!

Also brought the Brandt rail truck and wrecked the timesaver. Actually the timesaver held its own as that truck does not like switches and is difficult to control. But I did make a move with it.

Nice. I was upset I was not able to meet Bruce and get my tattoo of Bruce signed. I guess an ass will do. Its like friendship rings. Does that mean we are friends forever. LOL How was the day on the cumberland Valley? Glad the rain held off for you. Im waiting for those pictures.

I guess were friends forever:lol: but Andy ain’t takin’ on no more damn kids as he would put it so Bruce is gonna have too be your adopted dad. The run here today was awesome and everybody is in route home or at home. Probably gonna start another thread on that and still going through pictures. I really enjoyed everyone’s company (except Ken grouchy ole’ bastard). We had all kinds of stuff running today. However we had an incident and it was Ric’s fault!!! While we were in the house he came bustin’ in asking for a paperclip to make a repair. Needless to say he left the debris of his fix laying in my yard and Jon Radder tripped over it causing skinned knees and elbows and his glasses and shoes fell off as well.

LOL mark that as evidence. Glad you all had a good time. I thought about yas while putting up new garage doors. I already started painting and bashing my new LGB Forney I got at the show. I just could not wait anymore. Hope everyone has a safe trip back and it was a pleasure to finally meet some of the crew.

The cupcakes were good…

LMAO!!!
Ken,
My boy was afraid too eat them tonight as they were deemed yours!

Tell'em I said it's OK.....;)

Good time, good company, and a very nice RR to run on.

Thank you Dave!!

I SURVIVED!!! HAve to say it was a completely awesome turnout, and as expected I came back with a load of bad ideas…D&B was a success, lots of fun had by all, sorry that the local guys (and Shawn) couldn’t make it…Was nice to finally get to meet a lot of the folks after a couple of years (funny Marconi didn’t ask any questions…) and really nice to see old friends I hadn’t seen in a while…

My only major purchase was a NIMH 18v 4200 MA battery from Cordless Renovations for Shay 119. (after looking at her in the D&B and comparing her rivet work with that on Bruce’s Mike and the 120 shes gonna get a new cab and tender ) other than that I purchase a couple of Colorado Scale Models structures, and some detail bits and tracklaying stuff.

20 minutes spent with Yogi was prolly the highlight of the weekend. He is truly the master of the coroplast construction, even has a neat trick for doing clapboard siding out of the stuff, I had to go back to the room and order the special cutting tool. Dad is running for County Comission this year…should have alot of stock to work with!

It was great to finally meet the LSC crowd. It’s funny… nobody was like I expected based on their online personality. Geoff

I was at the live steam layout both days running. Had my LSC Convention Badge displayed on my cap. Never met any of you guys and I wanted a T-Shirt. Never saw Bob.

We probably all walked by you a dozen times. Going by the Live Steamers I'm looking at the engines, not hats. Oh well. The "alcove" was about 25 feet from where you were. You should have stopped by.

Sorry we missed you.

I peeked in a few times but didn't see you. But, like Jon, I'm usually looking at the locomotives!

Send me your address and size and Ill send you a shirt.

Sorry I missed you, Noel.
I don’t think any of us had LSC badges :o
Matter of fact, I’m not sure Bob was wearing one either
Should I be fortunate enough to attend again, I think I’ll make some notes about who is going to be where
Ralph

Yea, I got half way through PA and remembered that my badge was still hanging from my monitor “so I wouldn’t forget it”.

Dave M. Ralph and I spent sat morning at the B & O Museum. I had a family function later in the day and couldn’t make it back to the show so I missed the bunch that showed up on Sat.

… though I do have a question. Located at bottom center is a hump. Is that where the transmission lives? :stuck_out_tongue:

Steve…
Yes…it’s a two speed with power assisted shift…the power assist is that cylinder above the hump. To put it in reverse, you open the butterfly doors; reach in and squeeze a large can shaped object…the live steam model with these features, only runs FAST, in high gear, and SLOW in low gear. You can see this in action at a gauge ONE live steam meet, where the locomotives run in constant circles, hour after hour, with the operators running around inside the loop, getting their legs in shape for the Boston Marathon…Tea is usually served once every hour…ENJOY.
