Show update?

I wonder if we will get any show updates and maybe a pic or two for us that are stuck at home. Someone must have taken their laptop with them.

I’ll second that motion. Pictures please!! This site is like a ghost town with everyone gone. Sure be nice to have this type of show in the Pacific Northwest.

Chuck

Yea ya think they would give us a few pics before they got involved with the D & B and the Rooster supplied beverages. Then it would be too late for anyone to be able to log in and type or download anything.

Not the same ! But you do have that NGC happening in August !?

LSOL had some streaming (a little rough) vid and one of the guys on the AC forum says he hopes to be posting some pics on a thread later today.

Got some pictures but only of faces …no train shots only the Brant Rail truck wrecking the timesaver. With what the brewer hooked them up with those guys should be stumbling and whoopin’ on each other in a few hours.
Gonna head back tomorrow.

Thanks David. Just thinking of you guys in York and how it sucks to be stranded at home. Hope the Rooster behaved himself today and has a good time tomorrow as well.

Well Shawn was kind enough to lend Ralph his ballet outfit and Ralph put it on for us.

I made it back home after getting stuck in construction zones the entire way back. It was great to finally meet everyone (although now im going to spend the night with nightmares LOL) It was too bad I did not get to meet Bruce. I guess he just has to come up my way (the birding is great up this way Bruce) The good news is im still alive the wife did not kill me for my new purchase. LOL

I thought the show was great for my first one. A lot of great sales and layouts. I got a great deal on an LGB forney with a box car and passenger. Now I cant wait to weather it up. I even had it running on my lliving room floor already. I could have bought a few more things but then I would not have a home to go to. No pictures did not have a camera but im sure someone will post.

Hi Guys,
Here is my report from AC Forum. When I get the pictures off the camera, I will post here as well.

AM Report
Was there when the doors opened. Normal opening crowd.
Seemed to get busier as the morning went. Spent the morning shopping for deals. Found some great ones.
Saw Harry, Mark Jim Miller, Joe Sova Larry Otis. Ron Wenger was there but did not catch up to him.
Came back to the motel to get the wife. When I left the parking lot was full. Looks like a big boost to the economy.
This afternoon will be an easier pace, looking at the detail stuff, checking the layouts etc.
Show is looking go so far!

PM Report
I went back for the afternoon with the wife. Visited the garden plant booths. Bought several garden plants including a really neat, very thin leafed version of a Japanese Red Maple.
Found a PRR 2 Bay coal hopper at a too good to pass price plus some RR shirts.

Hey Tom, Can you check the spelling of my name? LOL

Met a lot of guys who I had not met before including Paul Norton and Doug Mathaison (SP) from up north.

3PM was a AC Forum Group Photo in the AC booth. TATE is going to do another one tomorrow for the Sat guys.

Big surprise was a 75th Anniversary Celebration for the Polk’s complete with cake for everyone.

Interesting talk with Dave Bognar. Got an idea for some lighting trickery using the Revo which he says is possible. Will update after I talk to him some more.

Navin seemed busy with the Revo TX programing, I got two done.

Talked to a dealer named Jonathon who is adding the Revolution to his line up of RC controls due to its popularity and features.

Talked to another manufacturer who is bringing out a new sound card in a few weeks (P8) which was designed with the Revo system in mind. The Revolution system is living up to its name.

Layouts were good, enjoyed Craig’s Army train. Someone else had a Historic Fire Truck train which was pretty cool.

Hope to post photos later tonight or when I get home tomorrow.

HEY Shawn did you get to meet the Rooster? Just kidding, sounds like you had a great time and the trip was worth it.

That is obviously an imposter. I have much nicer legs  Ralph

Bruce and Ric had a camera at the Drag and Brag, so maybe they;ll be posting pics. Show starts at 9am tomorrow, and Ill try and have updates then.

It was great meeting everyone. My camera doesn’t do well indoors. So not too many show pictures. I did take over a hundred photos at Strasburg and the railroad museum.

I was think more like Moe, Curly and Larry

Methinks that the gentleman on the left is Gary Buchanan…of course I’m not sure I’ve ever seen this other guy you speak of…

No, Fred. That be me.

Yep…that’s “Hollywood” all right. You can see the look of disgust when “Hollywood” realizes he is about to get his picture taken. Here in the next photo, you can see his attempt to “duck”. Too late  Damn paparazzi  Ralph

Well if that is you, David; I sure hope you have a picture of Gary and you together…you must be brothers…
