If the rooster makes it out to the left coast, he is welcome to visit the Tortoise & Lizard Bash. We will do open house on Aug 16-17 and Sept 27-28.
We do have a “chicken ranch” and while our hens are considerably smaller than Roving Rooster, they certainly know how to show a stranger a good time. 
In fact, our “ladies” are guaranteed to “Lay or Bust.”
The telegraph in the train station began clamoring wildly. It wasn’t a train robbery but a message telling the people of Silver Onyx to get busy.
A celebrity was coming to town tomorrow via the evening passenger train. Who was the celebrity? His name is Rooster!

The KFC Special arrived in Silver Onyx just before sunset.
The Special was scheduled to arrive earlier in the afternoon but a chicken bone caused a minor derailment.
Many of the townspeople and an old prospector waited to greet Rooster, the celebrity.
It might have had something to do with the chilled free beer that Rooster was handed out.
What is Rooster up to?
Doug make sure that Rooster gets lots of water. Don’t forget the east coast is wet. Hes not use to the desert environment.

After a short search Rooster has been found!
It seems that after his speech the other evening he went to visit one of the local saloons.
A fight broke out after a comment was made about his green foot…
After the bar brawl he was escorted to the jail. To pay for the damage to the bar he has to work for the undertaker for a few days.
If he can behave himself he should be leaving here early next week. He still hasn’t gotten to see the railroad.

Now that the word got out where Rooster might be found it wasn’t long before the paprazzi captured a picture of him heading off to his job that will pay for the damage to the bar.

He doesn’t look like Rooster but I’d better get a look at the undertaker. Rooster could be in danger!
That Rooster sure is causing problems wherever he goes. The “chicks” on my RR haven’t stopped talking about him.
Doug I think the first job for the rooster at the undertakers should be to peck that loose board back into place.

Rooster is deep in conversation with the undertaker this morning.
He has finished working with the undertaker to pay off the damage he was partially responsible for at a nearby bar.
Because of a gold rush near Silver Onyx the undertaker hasn’t been able to hire help. The undertaker offered him a job on one condition. He would have to get a haircut!
After giving it a lot of thought Rooster turned him down. After all, Rooster has a lot more places to see.
