Large Scale Central

RGS Operations

At least you found the problem and had it fixed.

Since everyone is getting older, maybe I should have made it “wheel chair accessible”…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

I thought you did. What part is not accessible by wheel chair? Maybe the inside access by the bridge?

Pretty accessible, may need an all terrain wheel chair, but that shouldn’t be your concern.

That’s like saying Andy’s isn’t wheel chair accessible.

Maybe it just needs to be golf cart accessible? (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

I really don’t consider my railroad as wheelchair accessible… Well, unless they make rough terrain wheelchairs… But, it is golf cart accessible and tractor accessible… And, inside around Nashville elevator is Riding mower accessible… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

SUV is packed. Leaving OK at 0’dark-thirty in the morning. Tomorrow night in Mt. Vernon, IL; Wednesday night in Clarksburg, WV; Thursday night in Winchester, VA. Should be arriving at the 1st Annual Keystone KOPS Friday afternoon. Let the fun begin …

I’ll try to remember to take some photos for those of you not going.

Bob

Taking the southern route, I see. I just got back from Branson, MO. yesterday on the same route till I get to Hagerstown, MD., then I take the northern route through Carlisle and Harrisburg to Lancaster. Less traffic…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

I avoid I95 and Baltimore like the plague.

Weather report for the weekend:

Weather

Could be worse…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Spent 4 days in Branson and it was cold and wet the entire time.

That’s a good forecast. All the best, hope everyone has fun.

Hoping to be underway by 8AM, should put us in your driveway about noon. Still waiting for the glue to dry on the carrier for the C-19. LS Shay and some coroplast are in the car. GPS wants us to go in to NYC then across the GW Bridge and take 95 to Wilmington, then North. YUCK! I’ll go across the TZ, take the Jersey Turnpike to Edison, then 95 only a short way to 276.

That’s the way my GPS tells me to go, too. I use the TZ, then stay on 87/287 to the turnpike at Edison. If you don’t want to spend the money, use the NJ TP to exit 7a, then 195 to 295. 295 parallels the TP all the way to the Delaware Memorial bridge. Then 141 to 2, south on 2 to 41 north. 41 will take you to Avondale, which is about 2 miles north of here. That would be my recommendation, for what it’s worth. It avoids a lot of the heavy traffic areas. And it’s a lot more direct route.

276 and 76 are heavily traveled roads, lots of traffic plus 76 is the PA TP, more tolls.

Depending on the time of day, sometimes the NJ TP is faster, less traffic.

Since I’m cheap, the less toll roads the better…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Thanks Ken. I will give that a try.

Have a good one fellas. Wish I could be there. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cry.gif)

Unfortunately, we don’t make the annual trek to PA until May 9th. Hope all y’all have a good time. Sorry to miss it.

A few pix from todays “run-what-ya-brung” day:

Jerry Bohlander’s log train leaving the yard.

Bob Hyman’s Goose #7 poses in front of the depot.

Jay Miller leads the log train out of the yard.

Jon Radder pulls his C-19 onto the service track.

All in all a good day. A few glitches, but what the heck. They had fun.

Too cool. Really sorry to miss this one.

Great fun today, Thanks Ken, looking forward to lots more this weekend

Jerry who forgot his camera Friday…

I realize it’s early into it but …Keep the pics coming please !
