Relationship? TeamLargeScale+MLSOL?

I read the “Join Our Team” page in the St. Aubins mammoth 16 pages of ads in December’s Garden RR mag.
I am still fuzzy as to explanation of what is or is not the relationship between MSLOL and St. Aubins.
On the Team Large Scale website, the membership cost is supposedly covered when we join MLSOL. Yet, there is a price much higher indicated for membership in Team Large Scale.

Is there anyone now a member of TLS willing to give a summary of what you have actually joined and a perception of what constitutes the relationship with MLSOL?

One obvious question: With this announcement, what remains of the relationship between My Large Scale OnLine and those who sponsor and advertise on that site? The suggestion to me, from the St. Aubins ad, is the Saint is the key sponsor of MLSOL. In short, is MLSOL now the agreed marketing energy for St. Aubins?

Any perceptions and explanation as to what precisely is this relationship that required a full page leading a 16 page promotion of St. Aubins is greatly appreciated – especially when the announcement was not identified as authored by the webmaster of My Large Scale Online.

Hey Wendell, why don’t you inquire directly? Tell them you’re interested to become a member, ask what the benefits are, which scheme is the better deal etc. etc. find out what the true selection is, are there reduced handling and shipping conditions etc. etc.?

I remember some time ago EPL started their “Club” and it took a few starts before we got the real McCoy as to benefits etc. In my book the notes to watch out for are the “Until further notice” disclaimers.  But that’s just me, I like to have things spelled out “nicely”.

HJ - and others with a similar idea:
Thanks for the suggestion - I considered it as I was reading the data on the “Team” website.
I declined the idea after the third reading, favoring a report by a new member that takes us beyond what is said to what actually does happen.

HJ’s brain is also one of inquiry. I’m very curious as to what one of our own readers reports to us on LSC AFTER joining and matching expectations to outcomes. The “Team” own website’s large listing of Q’n A questions betrays the author’s anticipated difficulty in clarity of explanation. HJ’s wanting “things spelled out nicely” is certainly on the right track but with “Team’s” explanation they missed the checkered flag. My thinking likely mirrors many readers with “If you can’t say it in 8th grade language, someone will be mislead.”

I think all of us will know a great deal more from a reporting by those experienced than a reread of the “Team” site’s information and their extensive Q 'n A listing.

Before this gets going much further, I believe the ankronyms should be corrected, before people get confused…

LSOL and St Albin make up ““Team Large Scale””
MLS is Mylargescale, and currently is no part of the ““Team Large Scale””
LSC is Largescalecentral, and is currently no part of ““Team Large Scale””

Just wanted to straighten it out… Of course, if I am in error, let me know…

We’re not part of the large scale team here at LSC? I’m crushed.

I wouldn’t join anything that involves LSOL. Further if I have to pay more for the same mdse. than someone that’s a “member” I won’t do any business with the store either.

Hear, hear.

I did my dance with that SO…errr…person, and I ain’t doing it again.

Upon further reflection, it is bad publicity all the way around, for our club and myself, so I took it upon myself to delete my posts.

NO LYSOL NO WAY

You got it right curmudgeon I refuse to do business with anyone with an association with “you know who” and we all do. Anybody who would ex-communicate someone who is a customer, “paying one at that” after listening to a couple of his old cronies talking behind you’re back, without getting both sides of the story. I let him have my side, and he still ex-communicated me from the site. Then he used one of my pictures in his calenders on his site AFTER ex-communication. Think that was pretty lame after kicking me out of the circle, wouldn’t you guy’s agree? I had given him permission to use the picture just prior to the ex-communication but I guess you’d have to have some honor or credibility traits, which I guess he has none to say the least but oh well just another lost customer, and I’m sure I wasn’t the first or the last. That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it. The Regalhttp://

P.S. I think the real loser here is the dealer, with the association to the other half!!!

So did I, so did I.

I never did, but I listened really closely to what others had mentioned. Saved me a dance, I don’t like dancing all that much anyway!

Stand in line guys.
I claim to be the first person banned from that site.

Gee I hate to get in line but I too was dropped from the site after mentioning MLS and saying my peace. Later reinstated till 2010… Renew again?, NEVER in my life time. I can do without LSOL and probably get dumped again if J reads this bit.
. .
What me worry? …U_…

You know, the old fardt in Oregun

A couple years back I lost my “lifetime” membership when I objected to a shipping charge on a purchase I had originally intended to make through LSOL because it was not as advertised. It was such a small thing that I have to conclude that the owner over there is nothing if not incredibly petty. After reading this thread, it is apparent that I belong to a small club of persona non grata former LSOL members. I don’t mind at all.

Small club????? I think it's bigger than we know, or suspect!!!!

Small? Not so much, there are lots of us that lost our “lifetime memberships”.

I still think this a back handed deal to get new members to join LSOL without realizing such.

LSOL’s “pay to play” approach to participation left me cold. I knew about the TeamLargeScale being LSOL last year at the BTS when they were more or less openly say so by passing out TeamLargeScale stickers.

Punt.

Any website that relies on paid subscriptions to access information that is readily available free on 30 other websites is doomed to failure. Hidden “special content” is only special if its available nowhere else.

Can anyone tell me the backstory on this? As a relative newbie to this hobby I have no idea what anyone is talking about. I joined that site around a year ago, when i was just starting out, because they had some proprietary articles I wanted, but I don’t go there all that often
