That is a cool fire railtruck, Bill! Thanks!
Scott: That’s a terrific rail-fire-truck-thing. I love it!
Those ARE cool!
What to their creators call them? The galloping very fat gooses? Hmm… Maybe galloping piglets?

Wonderful models, no matter what they’re called!
Got some time to work on the bell for the railtruck today. Not finished but I think I’m finally going in a reasonable direction.
Started by taking a piece of pvc and sketching a rough version of the bell holder and used my dremel to start cutting it out:
After getting it all cut out and roughly right:
And after trimming, adding some supports, and the first simple paint color (before weathering):
Enjoying the new post editor, image pasting, etc.!
Cheers!
Got the bell installed today. The last, final, ultimate detail. The truck is finished! Calloo callay!
Brilliant as usual. So much cool detail. Love it
Great job, Jim. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your railtruck come alive. You have a good eye for the details. Looking forward to your next project.
Jim,
This project was cool from start to finish! Oldest Son and I are going to need to reference this as we try to breathe life into his long moribund railtruck.
Eric
Took a few photos of the railtruck, as rumor has it, it will be the featured article in next months BAGRS newsletter (Bay Area Garden Railroad Society). These photos include all those latest little additions.
Excellent modeling work! Congratulations on a job well done!
Love the ditch lites !
Gotta be proud of that, Jim, looks great!
I can almost hear banjos!
You hear them anyway ?
Not until you just replied… so I’m paddling faster…
Excellent, Jim and great photos.
Wow, that turned out great! I love it!
Jim, again, this has been a real inspiration! Thanks for taking us on this journey!
Eric
