The attendance was definitely down due to the weather, however, it was very easy to roam all the buildings.
Last year you could hardly move through the crowds.
Perhaps Sunday will bring more to the show as the roads are clear.

Turns out, I have to pass this year, Even though I’ll be out as far as Sturbridge, I can’t drag my 89 year old mother, whom I’m picking up) to the show. Spent the day listing Ho on Amazon - Time to bite the bullet and reclaim my work bench and tools from under all that inventory.
It was a good show though it was the first in 7 times that I didn’t come home with a piece of rolling stock. I did get a box of metal wheels, a grab bag of couplers and some tools. I did think that G scale stuff was a bit on the high end.
Due to the storm there was less people but it was nice to have some elbow room there.
That G scale setup across from you Dan Pierce was HUGE I think they had like 16 seperate trains running. I forgot to check out what they were using for power. I was hoping to see the Schnabel again but the guy who owns it didn’t make the trip this year.
Overall it was another good train show and worth the extra time it took to get there because of the storm.
It work!!!
Todd didn’t see me hiding!!
Todd sorry to miss you…sorry to hear your bus was 1-1/2hr late .
Way too many things to see , I must of missed you as I was wondering around…
Had a nice cup of chili and a cold one to wash it down with. Mmmmmm
I did get an very nice ( all there , with no broken pieces) Aristo caboose with light, smoke for $55 from TrainZ.
I did stock up on some fluid from Mega Steam , Great gentleman and wife company …great stuff.
I had fun and it was good to see all …
We are gearing up for over 2 feet of snow, can’t plow that
Immediately after my last post, Rcvd a call the I didn’t have to pick-up my mother in Union,Ct until 3:30- That gave me 1 1/2 at the show if I went… Walked into the door of the bldg where Charles Ro was set up at 1:15 - looked a two items and the phone rang- They were sitting in the parking lot of Traveler’s Book in Union. So much for the show - Sorry I missed you guys - Will say His show prices were good, with a large G selection - Back on the Cape Now waiting for the Blizzard, and the inevitable loss of power that will accompany it. May be I’ll get to York this year.
Saturday attendance was definitely light. Sunday was like Saturday normally is though. I found a few dealers were looking for top dollar on their G items even the used/ modified/ ready to fall apart ones. In the Stroh building there was a dealer with G gauge and I managed to score an Accucraft electric Porter at a very reasonable price. Nice looking little engine. I purchased a kit from Clem at Warrior Run to make a Bachmann Rail Truck into a Goose. I think that a kit like that for a LGB Railtruck would sell. My cats got qty. 4 catnip pillows from the Old Colony & Fall River Museum. Really nice people and a trip there and to Battleship Cove would make a nice day. Maybe a day running G on their property would work out as well. There were 4 large scale layouts (M&P/CCTGG, NHGRS, MGRS(?) and an F gauge layout. There has been some scuttlebutt about a G gauge only get together or a a special area for G at the show.
I have been saving for a Berlyn K36 but after discussing with a few people at the show I have decided to get a Bachmann C-19 and maybe another Bachmann K-27 and have money left over.
Regards,
LAO
Larry although I’ve on the Salem (weymouth) a couple of times, never been to Battleship cove- Perhaps that could be a Club trip.
BTW It’s already flurrying sideways here- East Brewster (MASS)
Well the Old Colony and Fall River would probably appreciate us coming down. The CCTGG does a setup at a bbq shindig in the SPringfield area.
