Large Scale Central

Railroad Hobby Show, West Springfield, MA Jan 24 & 25 2015

So which is it going to be Saturday?

mixed rain/snow

up to 6"

or over 6"

i think I just heard a LOT of fingers cross!

It was kind of messy last year if I remember. Show is just too big for me - I enjoy seeing everyone but I’ll probably stay home.

Looks like no more than a couple inches Saturday. Like last year!

I’ve just had a personal matter come up and I probably wont be going. :frowning:

I will be at the show and the snow means I can go for a real spin in my car.

Still debating, Could just go over to Charles Ro and pick up something off my wish list…

Go to the show Phil. Charles Ro has a big booth there plus there is so much more to see and buy.

This is not Phil’s first rodeo!
Todd you might as well stay home Dan and I will be there real early Saturday… we will leave nothing for you!

Todd- THAT’s what I’m afraid of- Five years in Alaska, the snow doesn’t faze me

Sean- I might fall off the BULL

I know SEAN you and DAN always get the best stuff and that other guy LARRY (is that his name?) gets the rest. Luckily I expect you guys are reaching the point of maximum RR gear capacity so now you are being much more selective in yoru purchases so I might have a chance this year… or am I just hoping?

Todd if we park REAL CLOSE on either side of them we Might have a CHANCE

I have been here since 9AM Friday at M&P/ CCTGG layout. Please note that dealers have been moved around. Saw an LGB starter set that looked like the box had been painted with nicotine. Blech.
LAO

Larry YOU are beating Dan and Sean to it this year! Save some for us Johnny come latelys.

Haven’t seen anything I want to purchase.
LAO

LAO I did and i got them you would have made out well

Eight inches of snow in my driveway, doesn’t look like I’ll be making it.

Was looking forward to seeing everybody, guess I’ll have to wait till ECLSTS.

Well the show was great today. I missed a lgb 3way switch in a box of well worn lgb switches. an hour or so later Dan P. got it. Dan, Sean and myself went to a new dealer from Pomona, CA. i scored some Accucraft 1:20.3 parts and an Accucraft Porter. The new distributor for LGB IS HERE. Nice people who are chomping at the bit to get LGB back in the mainstream.it was good to see the NHGRS AT THE SHOW. Not a lot of G available compared to last year but Pioneer Valley Hobbies had a large collection for sale.Trainz.comhad some G. The CCTGG was making hourly trips to Charles Ro. Jamies collectables has a bunch of LGB AS WELL. Miss those who could not make it.

The show has a lot more large scale this year. There are 5 layouts this year in a variety of scales more manufacturers and more dealers.

Next year will be even bigger. Working with the NHGRS the goal is to get more Large Scale dealers and manufacturers in attendance next year. Should be interesting to see it develop.

I have not had time to visit all of the dealers yet but will in the morning.

Had fun running a 1:20.3 train with a pusher on the rear and visiting with the manufacturers.

I chickened out due to the snow, sounds like you were having a good time! I imagine the crowd was less because of the snow too.
