Oh that’s why it looks so big your modeling in mini-large sale…(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif) Just kidding.

that scale is a compromise.
i got a large colection of old toy cowboys, indians and CW-soldiers (about 2.000) plus some hundreds of horses, dozens of wagons and carts, plus lots of “stuff”.
some of them are 1:32, few about 1:25, and most are about 1:30.
just take look at the prices for largescale figures (not to mention, how few are offered)
so, for me it was clear, that the toy figures will be the population of my layout.
and “shrinking” my locos and other rolling stock is a challenge, i am looking forward to too.
Well done Korm. I keep watching your progress for the ingenuity you supply. Great use of materials (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
coming from someone with your skills, that makes me feel content.
inspection day has come!
while chiefinspector Tom evaluates the situation at Ant-Hill bend, inspector Jerry is testing the tunnels of Lone Mountain.
they both agreed, that the constructor fell far behind scedule…
Seeing your inspectors reminded me of mine:
He retired last Thursday after 16 years of faithful service…RIP
ouch!
get a new one!asap!
(and prepare, to clean up your workbench and anything else, where something might break from falling down)
Korm very ingenious way to clean your tunnels , cat tails(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)!
they love to skeedaddel along the track. specially bridges and tunnels.
and i love it, that neither mice, nor lizards can make a home among my junk future building materials.
so, i think, they earn their Whiskas honestly.

We still have two dogs and the “other” cat. I have never been much of a cat person, always had them, never much liked them. I don’t hate them but I don’t really get attached. But the above guy was my buddy. He liked me and we hung out. He liked to “help” with modeling and homework and just about anything else did.
Wow, Korm. That tunnel really turned out great.
-Kevin.
thank you, Kevin!
Devon,
i used to be mainly a dog person as well. but since i turned older and slower, i can do without family members, who expect me to take a walk, everytime they want to take a leak…
i have been asked, how i plan to blend this mountain into the background.
well, i think, i came up with a useable idea:
I like it. Looks very dramatic, yet believable. I’ve enjoyed watching this bit of accelerated geology happen.
thanks.
i like this expression “accelerated geology”.
Really looking good, Korm… Nice work…
thanks.
but is was not so much work, as an “Uuuuhhh…” moment.
those, who read the whole thread, might remember the thing about crumpled alu-foil.
well, i made some, and i put it in place.when the glue is dried out, i will make some cover-ups, where the sheets meet, and spray on some soot from the locos.
I’m watching…

Nothing wrong with going floor to ceiling
Yep . . . lots of room to model vertically . . . . why stay horizontal ? . . .
