I guess the ‘faithful’ couldn’t see the handwriting on the wall.

I don’t know what “faithful” you’re referring to, but it was obvious that the company was struggling, so this sad news is no surprise.

Geez, Ray. Beating the drum, shouting against anyone who doesn’t believe the same mantra you do…and now it’s no surprise?
Good Lord.

All you deny-ers up until today…don’t ever read the Book of Revelation.
I can see the denials now.

Excuse me, but when have I ever denied anything about AC’s situation? YOU keep putting words in my mouth that I have never said, and claiming to know my “beliefs” without any knowledge of them whatsoever. I have NEVER said that AC was not struggling, or that they wouldn’t go out of business. Nor do I recall doing any “shouting”.

As for “beating the drum”, all I said was that people who WANT AC products should be encouraged to get them while they can (assuming they can get them). Which is just common sense.

I think you guys need a break

At what point do Aristo take responsibility for their own failure.

Seriously, what difference does it make to you? Were you an investor in AC or something?

Maybe we could all take a Spring break and travel to Florida and play trains with Lewis. To be fair Nick should most likely leave his Charlie Ro stuff at home.

Thanks Shawn, hardly recognized you guys. Nicely done!

Ray,
as a manufacturer one has both a moral and LEGAL reponsibility to ensure that their product is fit for purpose. As a consumer I have a right to evaluate the quality of the product and if not fit for purpose then reserve the right to criticise the product in question. I have disposed of all my Aristo locomotives and rolling stock as they do not serve my purpose. I did like the Classic range. Actually I still have one Evans 53 footer in my possession, purchased on a whim but it simply did not match my ‘overscale’ LGB ‘standard’ gauge equipment.

I did invest many, many thousands of dollars in Aristo stainless rail plus several thousand dollars in Aristo buildings (best value largescale product on the market until they released the flimsy cling film vinyl models).

I think the hot San Diego sun must be getting to you. I have not seen you on a crusade like this in all the years that I have known you. Take more cooling drink when out in the sun to avoid heat stroke.

As Shantai said on the You Tube site “This is why aliens don’t visit us people!” Fairly hilarious video. Thanks for this moment of levity.

Doc Tom

Ok does everyone remember when bachmann entered the brass track race. Was not aristo having supply problems then from china ? Especially track ? Bachmann reps also mentioned that along with the brass track, turnouts would soon follow. We have have not seen any yet we have not seen any this past year. Maybe we will now see them now that aristo is going to the fallen flags of large scale or at least to return on a different plain of existence. I personally like aristo engines especially Alcos. RS3s are great runners. My usa engines also run quite good too. Don’t get me wrong I have done my share of the classic repairs too but that’s life I deal with it.

Yes Doc, if we weren’t all crazy, we’d probably go insane. ;=)

And coming from a direct recommendation from Ric the master…here’s something much more sane than some weird fox thing…

What’s the difference between 2006 and 2013? I don’t get picked on and blasted at. Hehehehe!

Well back in '06 you were relentless with opinions about LGB, luckily for us that Aristo wasn’t into that Eurotrash crap you like

You have also calmed down on the excessive smiles and icons  :stuck_out_tongue: also, hahahaha

Very interesting!

I remember quite clearly it wasn’t my opinions that upset the Ventilators, it was my translations of what the German press, the courts and other sources had to say about the LGB Saga and insolvencies in general.

My opinions predated the insolvency by many years and they were always well documented, of course that upset the Red Box Brigade even more.

It was much like the present situation, a different cast but the reactions are much the same.

BTW I have some very fine Eurotrash (aka real models), some of it was even produced by LGB.

Page 274, paragraph 8. Denigrate a poster to make others think his comment is of no importance. See chapter 11, “Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain”.

Now you’re just getting nasty, Ray. Just plain nasty.
Page 406 covers that part, too.

Good job on following the Book.

What good does it do now that the fat lady has done her thing?

Tim made a valid comment, phrased as a question. Good question, too.
I would ask, what happened after Sol Kramer bailed them out last time?

I await your carefully flamed response.

Just wait while they range you with their Bofors.
Now we are into the last chapter of The Book, where any and everyone who tried to point out what was going on is to be blasted for saying anything.

Sometimes, I really think some of our good friends from the RBB have simply created new accounts with different names.
These guys make about as much sense.
“Wait until next week!”

I have two Euro trash trains–The RhB Glacier Express and a DB passenger train. All LGB and I still enjoy them running from time to time.
