Okay at Ken’s after York, we had some cupcakes that were pineapple topped cupcakes. Were they Pineapple Right side Up Cupcakes or Upside Down Cupcakes? Conversation came up over Easter as to how they were made and it was brought up again over dinner last night. The decision was made to go to the source. What was really offered and how were they made? Inquiring minds and hungry stomachs want to know. Thank you in advance for your time in answering this question.
The answer is ““Yes””… And, they were most delicious…

<---- is the taste-tester for any pineapple upside cakes constructed in illinois…
I’ll be sure to mention a volunteer is available in Illinois if she needs one.
Ric, you have E-mail.
I got the email, thank you very much, and we are more than willing to post the answer here for all to share. However, I think you also need to ask, weren’t the cupcakes also topped with a pineapple ring on each cupcake and a whole cherry in the center?
If so, weren’t they really “Pineapple topped, pineapple upside down cupcakes”?
You guys do know, I was the guy going for the extra ham and cheese sandwich, while everyone else was chowing down on the cupcakes and making them disappear. I actually didn’t even have one? Meat? Pastry? Meat? Pastry? Meat, every time.
Here is the instructions. I know should be recipe, but I couldn’t remember how to spell recipe.
Put the butter, brown sugar syrup mix in the cupcake cup. Then puts in crushed pineapple, cut cherries, and nuts. Finally fills the cup with cake mix and bakes as normal.
I don’t believe a whole slice of pineapple will fit in a cupcake cup but I’m not the baker.
